You have nothing but conjecture to that argument. I think they will based on playing a tougher schedule, beating lesser teams the way they are supposed to and having a way better D than GT, BC, etc.

You think they wont because they didnt dominate a good team unlike fsu who didnt dominate anyone. Good point.

I simply dont trust Jameis to play mistake free football against a saban team that has 3-4 weeks to prepare and a NC as the goal. And why should i? 3 picks against florida in one half. You cant give those opportunities to a top team. Not just bama but oregon as well.

Could Jameis come out like last night? Sure but his season doesnt suggest that is likely.

You can't dictate who is in your conference. Fla defense is a top defense in the country. Ok st and fla are dwn this yr. which hurt their sos. Nobody knew they would this year before the season started (that's why they were in the top 25 preseason poll) and fsu plays fla every year so that game is by default. And you say saban has 3-4 weeks to prepare and nc as a goal. SO DOES FSU AND THE OTHER 2 TEAMS IN THE PLAYOFF. STOP ACTING LIKE SABAN IS THE BE ALL IN COACHING COLLEGE FOOTBALL

Saban is one of the best if not the best coach/dictator in cfb.

The tougher schedule aspect shows that Bama has played better competition and fared better than fsu from an eye test stand point. This isnt a seed issue or a berth issue.

We will find out soon enough cap master

Why is Bama not being discussed though? They haven't dominated every week either. They have NO quality wins on the road. Miss State at home isn't impressive either. The best win for Miss State is over a 4 loss Auburn team. Ole Miss who Bama to their L to was annihilated by Arky 30-0. TCU only loss was to Baylor. But no one will call Bama because it's Bama.

i was thinking this same thing.

This reminded me of why I originally wanted an 8 team playoff. This 4th spot is a tough call. If there were 8 teams, then the 8th spot would be much easier to deal with. TCU and Baylor are both exceptional teams. I hope one gets in over OSU. I'd be willing to put money on either of them. They are the real deal.

Anyhow, if there were 8:

Baylor
TCU
FSU
Baylor
Oregon
OSU
Bama
MSU (Mich)


You can see from my list that the 8 spot is debatable, but the top seven spots would be unanimous. Too bad three of those seven won't have a shot.

All Im saying is these games will not be blowouts. As long as bama and osu doesn't win it all. Im will be fine.
