You couldn't give the first 4 seeds a bye in the first round in an 8 team playoff. It wouldn't work.

You're right. sorry.

But I think the 8-team thing would be the best and most fair way. And that way you have at least one rep from each conference. And also the little guy gets their shot. But then also a team could still get in with an at-large even if they lose 1-2 in the season.

Loving this! 8.5 weeks until national signing day, and they are barely in the top 100. It will take a miracle to get them into the top 25. They are more likely to finish in the 40-45 range at this point.

I disagree. The weekend update sucks now, but overall the show is still funny.

OSU (with their 3rd string QB who had never taken a snap in college before today) annihilated a solid Wisconsin team 59-0 in the big 10 championship.

I still don't know why they didn't keep the BCS and just take the top 4 teams. Computers don't have any biases and don't give the haters from the 5th team a human target.

Their only loss is to the sixth ranked team in the nation.... And not by much....OSU lost to a putrid Hokie team

I will never understand why they scrapped the rankings part of the BCS. Just take the top 4 from the BCS rankings and there's your playoff, or do what you mentioned with the 8 teams. The BCS was way better than 13 hacks who may have never even played the game.

I don't disagree. I also agree this should be expanded to 8 so that the underdogs get their shot. Not that I really care about underdogs but I am tired of hearing about them.

Until it's reported elsewhere, I'm going to assume that their "sources" on the Malone story are nonexistent and they're just reading into his body language and lack of playing time like others on here have.

I guess I just miss the all star cast I grew up with. Murray, Hartman, Murphy, Ferrell, Farley, Sandler, Myers and Carver to name a few.

Nobody currently remotely close to that talent IMO.

It's definitely not what it once was, but I still enjoy most skits and the monologues. I hate the weekend updates now and that used to be my favorite thing. Musical performances are awful now too.

True, but I think the writers are still very good. Some segments are clunkers, but writing that much material every week is a monumental feat.

Losing Hendrix and Scott is tough but attrition is a part of the process. There will be others as well. The good news is that even if we missed on those 2, we also bit big at both DE and RB in the same class with Barnett and Hurd. you can and will miss on individuals, but you can't miss on an entire position.
