I'll say it like this. If we lose a one point game to a first year HC with arguably UF's lowest talent advantage and one position appears to be the cause that will resonate an entire season. I agree 2016 is OUR year for really big things but 2015 is THE year for UF win.

I think UF's talent will be down but I'm not sure it will be significantly less than ours. They will play inspired for their new coach. It will be a tough game, as always. We've only won two or three times down there since the 1970s, I'm pretty sure. I have long given up on expecting an away game at Florida to be a must win for any UT coaching staff. My expectation is to be extremely competitive though and make them earn it if they are going to win.

Back-ups are coming in. They will be redshirted so it will take another year before we have that. Both of them are good prospects.

Number 2: See my last post. I believe that will come with better OL play. He does have some accuracy issues though, I agree with that.

I agree but I just don't have confidence on the line improving. We had an NFL line in 2013 and had great rushing but we had a lot of bad penalties. This year some holding penalties would have been a blessing because it meant we got a hand on a man.

Sounds like Richt

Exactly. Richt is a very good coach and we'd be fortunate to have someone who can run as stable and successful a program as he's run (but who can catch some breaks and win the big one every now and then).

Tennessee, when it is doing well, looks a lot like UGA does now. I think our fans think Tennessee should expect to look like Bama. That would be nice but we've never looked that good for that long at any point in our history, so that shouldn't be our baseline expectation for any coach. We will doom ourselves to a lifetime of coaching turmoil and 6 win seasons if we think otherwise IMO.

See my subsequent post about their possible staff and I believe my theory will make more sense. I agree with you overall.

I agree, bro. I have confidence they will improve some, just not as much as we hope they do.

I think the craziest game sequence I've seen in a long time was Mizzou blowing out UF, UGA blowing out Mizzou, and UF blowing out UGA.

I know games aren't transitive, but you rarely see that type of sequence in one season.

May be a bit late - you may have already heard this but:

Next morning, where the two had sat
They found no trace of dog or cat;
And some folks think unto this day
That burglars stole that pair away!
But the truth about the cat and pup
Is this: they ate each other up!
Now what do you really think of that!
(The old Dutch clock it told me so,
And that is how I came to know.) :)

If I am an NFL GM I would not want any part of Winston and his antics. And he has thrown what seems 50 INTs this year, too. Disclaimer, I have not looked at his season stats. This year has shown that last year his Heisman trophy is all due to Kelvin Benjamin and other WRs

Parity in the SEC is upon us. It makes haters outside conference think they are better but top to bottom it just is not true.

I don't think we'll be much better next year. I think you're looking at 7 wins, possibly 8 with the right bounces. The major stumbling block again will be the o-line. While I expect some improvement, not to the extent that will make more than a 1 or two game difference. All JMO.

I think he could be a Cam that puts up good numbers but makes costly mistakes.

I think we've seen a patern of off the field issues that are not likely to cease. Florida State has covered for this joker where the big league won't.

He'd be wise to partner with a good agent that will manage his idiocy. Cam went full Diva in year 2 and it took some intervention to get him back on track.

If we are not much better, with everything we have returning, there are issues.

Everything should be equal or significantly better except the Oline. I'll believe that we can block someone when we block someone. I just can't imagine that the Oline will make a significant improvement next year. Is it coaching or a lack of talent? I don't know. Probably a bit of both.

You guys think we can make a run at the east next year? I say nyet, not nyet.

Yes. But to do so, we'll have to win the "bad break" games we lost this year like UGA and UF. We can't come out flat like ole miss or Bama either.

I feel like this season had several games with garbage quarters and halves Where the play calling, play execution, and unforced errors wasted 15-30 minutes of game clock.

Also can't do things like throw picks in the end zone and fumble in our own.

The Oline can only get better. If they can get some good time in the weight room, work on positioning and footwork, they will improve. Also if you can get a couple of new faces to contribute, it will result in a night and day difference.
