What questions at QB are you seeing? Honest question.

My thinking is the QB play will be much better with better OL play. And with better play calling. But, that's jmo

For me, I've got to see Dobbs get better with downfield passing. That's a big missing piece in this offense that will really cause it to take off. But I don't think we have too many questions. I think he can make those passes, especially if the OL improves. Hopefully we will see improvement in the bowl game. Can't wait to watch.

I think 2016 when we have them at home again is when I will expect to win.

Next year's game seems winnable though.

We've finally closed the talent gap with them and my expectation is that that series will be close and competitive year in and year out like it should be.

I'll say it like this. If we lose a one point game to a first year HC with arguably UF's lowest talent advantage and one position appears to be the cause that will resonate an entire season. I agree 2016 is OUR year for really big things but 2015 is THE year for UF win.

Number one is a backup, we have to find one that can at least not lose us a game.

Number 2 Dobbs has to make accurate passes down field or any team with good pass rush can and should beat us.

Hate to say it but McElwain pretty impressive in his PC. He comes off geniune and like a good ole boy players coach. Not robotic and jokes a lot. I can see why his former players really are fond of him if he is like that behind closed doors too. he doesn't come off like a jerk as their past HCs have.

He mentioned that his dog could win in his offense and that he wants to tailgate and grill out at bowl game

Jake who lives out that way has met the guy and says UT fans should be concerened. UF fans are about to splooge their pants because rumors are they are picking up some of the best recruiters in CFB. They are being measured though as I have not seen them throw out a rumored list yet.

I think Butch will be more like Fulmer than fans will like. He will be loyal to a fault with staff, a great recruiter, an outstanding representative of our school, will rarely lose the ones he should win but will struggle to win the ones that really matter.

He squandered the chance to end the streak against UF this year. Should have won that game. He really, really needs to win that game next year in the swamp.

I think the downfield passing will get better once Dobbs can actually have time to sit back and throw with some protection from his OL. Kinda hard to consistently throw great downfield when you are constantly on the run. It is doable though.

I agree. Hindsight is a ***** but I believe if UT had handled the end of Fulmer's career the way FSU did we are competing for NC's right now. We should have found and named a HCIW. Let Phil wrap it up gracefully and appeared like the southern gentleman we are than the hysterical hick we looked like when Kiffin bolted. USC is smart to be persuing that angle now. I think they selected the wrong coach for it in Muschamp but smart move overall.

Back-ups are coming in. They will be redshirted so it will take another year before we have that. Both of them are good prospects.

Number 2: See my last post. I believe that will come with better OL play. He does have some accuracy issues though, I agree with that.

I'm not convinced CBJ is an elite coach like Saban and Meyer (and very few, if any, others). Therefore I think you are probably right. Just like Les Miles, Steve Spurrier and many like them, he will lose some games you don't think he should. But that doesn't mean he isn't the coach we need and that he can't ever win an SEC championship and/or a national title.

I think UF made a good hire.

We need to get them next year.

If the UF posters excitement is realized a lot of people will be saying Fuuuuuuu. Expect a lot of gnashing of teeth about our "best staff in america" if they win next year. Because the perception will be they won because the hired an all world staff. While we lost with stability and loyalty. I think we can win. I admire the path Butch is taking i'm just saying this could get sideways perception wise.

Watching the Cincy-Houston game. Cincy has put together an excellent first drive. Can anyone tell me why we don't run they're offense? Ours is very similar in that they do a lot of read options but instead of throwing bubble screens, they tend to throw 8-10 yard curl routes. I'd like to see us do this more as it makes our offense more vertical. It's seems to work well for them and while Kiel might be a better passer than Dobbs, our receivers are better than Cincy's.
