I agree. When he went to Wisconsin I was relieved. That guy will win big anywhere he goes. I would rather go against Bielema since you know what you are going against with him. With Anderson you have developer of talent that is also a strategist.

I predict that if they get Bielema but Andersen stays at Wisconsin they'll be kicking themselves for not hiring the right coach. For those of you that have never checked him out review Andersen's record. He's about to play for the CCG in his second year and he's been a winner everywhere at whatever level. I love some Butch but this guy is legit.

On AJ case/situation...

In checking this afternoon and I know Jimmy Hyams has reported this as well, but nothing is going to happen this week. I not sure why the delay in getting things to the DA's office. I don't know of any new evidence that came to light. I don't know if there was someone they interviewed after Sunday. Anyway, nothing is going to happen this week as obviously I had indicated on here last week. So I apologize.

It's safe to say that the investigation has been pretty complete with some 20-30 witnesses interviewed. I do expect the DA's office to have everything next week. We will see if it gets to a grand jury next week.

But nothing is happening this week based on everyone I spoke with today/this afternoon.

What we absolutely do not want is them to hire the newest Wisconsin coach Andersen. I believe he is your next Gary Pinkel type coach. Has been known to get more with less on the field.

No chance Arkansas trolls Wisconsin and hires 2 straight coaches from there.

Also, anybody complaining about Butch's performance needs to stop and meditate for a while about how previous negligence completely and utterly trashed the program. Direct reasons for losses this year can and should be attributed to:

1. Depth issues
2. Depth issues
3. and finally, Depth issues

If we hadn't been depleted on the O-Line, what a season we could have had! We have no idea how many thousands of yards the running backs could have racked up with decent blocking, and we didn't push the ball deep on passes because we were scared to try!

I think OL performance will be better next year, and I think Butch was playing his cards with redshirts. He had to give up on Dobbs redshirt, but I think redshirting Blair will payoff in the end.

Don't give up hope people! Hang in there. And by all means, take a chill pill!

I think college football coaches at major programs are becoming the equivalent of NFL quarterbacks. If you have a good one, your team is fine and you'll pay the money to keep him. If you don't have a good one, your team is screwed and your AD will do anything to get one...including going through multiple duds until you find the right guy.

That's why the people who want Butch fired are crazy. There's simply no one better that we could get right now. At best we would trade a proven coach at the mid-major level with a recruiting strategy that is already paying off to get another mid-major coach with a good track record and an unknown recruiting prowess.

I didn't realize that Dee Hart from Alabama ended up at Colorado St with McElwain. Saban with a nice little alley oop to his former OC. I would say a former 5 star would tear it up in the Mountain West.

For those that don't remember him, he was the number 1 all purpose back comin out of high school, went to bama and I believe had a marijuana arrest "graduated" early and went out to Colorado.
