If Miller wants to come, you take him no questions asked. We would finally be able to redshirt Dobbs, too. Imagine how good Dobbs would be his RS Junior year after basically three whole seasons of development. Miller might have a Cam Newton-esque influence on the season if he came here.

Yeah, I absolutely love Dobbs, but you take Braxton Miller if you get the chance. Dobbs still has that redshirt lol

That would be a weird career arc for Dobbs.

Forced into action two years in a row, take a year off, and then come back for two more years.

If he comes the only way we get to redshirt Dobbs is if he stays healthy AND Peterman doesn't transfer...if NEITHER of those scenarios happen, Dobbs' RS doesn't.

Travis Stephens took a year off after some very productive action, didn't he? He came back and broke records.

tennessee isn't going away and is the only team that can really compete with bama on a talent vs talent basis. Auburn will do whatever it takes to beat bama. Hugh freeze is going to build ole miss into a very respectable program year in and year out. And tennessee is two seasons away from being competitive with every team in the conference.

It will be interesting to see what happens the first season saban goes 8-4 or even 7-5 at bama. He did go 9-3 in 2010 with what may have been his best team ever.

Miller coming in would be perfect for our future QB situation.

2015: Miller
RS- dobbs, dormady, Jennings
2016: Dobbs RS Jr, redshirt Kendall
2017: Dobbs RS Sr, redshirt johnson
2018: Jennings or Dormady RS Jr

Perfect situation for development.

Not saying Miller actually comes but would be almost an ideal situation.

That's the latest hot rumor. Would make sense for OSU to move on to the younger QB that's showed promise. Pretty sure Miller has a child, so he might decide to turn pro, but he could use another year to help his draft stock.

I won't believe anything coming from anyone around Urban until it's official and set in stone.

I believe the UAB news is official, saw a tweet from Sportscenter. First program to fold since Pacific in the 90's.

agreed especially if we got braxton (didnt kiffin shun this kid? also looks like elder recruited him at cincy.... so theres a relationship there. plus swain is kind of an insider so who knows)

if we got braxton, tried to redshirt dobbs again, and dobbs is unable to redshirt because braxton is injury prone but dobbs still loses 2/3 of a season..... thats the worst scenario i can think of happening.

poor dobbs.

On the flip side if Dobbs continues to progress and comes in late and finishes the season strong what a confidence boost for the year that really matters.

This is stupid. Complete unadulterated stupidity.

I know I have been very critical of the OC, but Butch needs 4-5 years. We get another coach now and I will bet we will never get out of this whirlwind.
