I'll give you one really good piece of unsolicited advise. If or when you start losing form or technique when lifting, STOP!

I have what is called PASTA, it stands for partial articular supraspinatus tendon avulsion and a type III impingement. Sucks!

Please offer all the advice you want! I'm still learning. And the lifting terms are really foreign to me. I know what to do as far as basic stuff from doing workout videos for so many years. My biggest obstacle is not knowing I can do heavier weight. I don't know why that's hard to get past. Especially, ESPECIALLY anything overhead. I have a total mental block when it comes to using my shoulder.

I am so sorry to hear about your shoulder. I'm glad you are gonna get it fixed though. You'd be really limited on crossfit stuff, huh. Nothing holding a bar I'm guessing?

Yeah, pretty much anything lifting. Well, you know how to reach me if I'm not on here so feel free to ask anything you want to know. I did it for 2.5 years straight before I couldn't take the pain anymore. Trust your coaches would be my advice, and don't let them move you up in weight to fast. When you can get thru a WOD without stopping and NOT lose your form/technique when lifting, then and only then can you feel safe to move on, especially overheads. One thing you can try to do real heavy and not worry as much is deadlifts, you can always just drop it down. Keep good form though, it's key. You'll get past the mental part of it trust me, you'll get to where feel you can do anything. lulz

Thanks Tex. I really appreciate this.

Planned on cooking a turkey dinner just so we'd have leftovers (we always go to my husband's mother's). My oldest son and his girlfriend decided to come here instead of traveling to Alabama for her family's dinner. My youngest son asked if he and his wife could come over going to his wife's grandmother's. And my mom, you know the story with her, didn't have plans today so she and my step-dad are coming too.

This may be the best Thanksgiving ever.

Wanted to stop by and say happy thanksgiving to all of my topic friends.

Second, I have been super busy at work. Taking over the manager position and trying to improve business has taken up pretty much all my volnation time.

Third, jhen I am sorry to hear about your grandfather. It's never easy losing a loved one. Glad to see you are back posting.

I am hoping to be able to get back to posting some more soon. Things are getting close to running smoothly.

:hi:Howdy sir. Things are good. I try to focus on all of the good memories. It hit me again yesterday after I took the ribs out of the smoker. That's the one, thing he always asked for and always bragged about to everyone.

Congrats on the promotion! I'm sure you'll have your time balanced out before too long.

Godspeed jhen. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

Thanks Nerd. How are things your way?

I remember when we were discussing Hamilton making the move a couple of years back. Looks, like he knew what he was doing. What a year!

Good thanks.

Yep just as I hoped, lewis had good information about what Merc was going to do.

Road trip from Clarksville to Knoxville after dinner with my sister
Then lunch today with my grandmother and back to Clarksville this afternoon
Made a side trip to the UT bookstore and loaded up

The coolest thing was a canvas print of the stadium with the orange and white checkerboard sections
