Ferguson Riots

My 2014 KW doesn't have auto locks. Has power locks but no auto locks.

I'll run their ass over before I stop.

You gotta stop or you'll end up on the other side of the bars with your employer bankrupt due to lawsuits.

You don't have to let them drag you out of the truck but you have to stop.

My biggest takeaway from last night was some people love to ignore the evidence presented and the judicial system actually working for a change.

And getting butthurt about it.

You read and hear what you want to read and hear. I was trying to engage in some sort of civil conversation with you about the events. Apparently, that's not possible.

And you can say butthurt all you want, but your comments were insensitive. YOU didn't win a damn thing last night, but you love to act like you did. What DID happen, however, is that an 18 yr old was killed.

Listening to radio this morning a reporter said that it seemed to her that the real problem was that at some poiint it became all teenagers who were just using it as an excuse for general mayhem, running out of stores with liquor bottles, taking selfies in front of fires, and in her words "egging each other on" to do the next dumb thing. No adults in the crowd to calm them down or take control.

I don't see how the police can deal with that. That is something that community is going to have to remedy.

If true (which I do not believe it is 100%) then I agree with you. Mom and dad don't care so the kids play.

CNN and the rest of the networks tried to make it into a Rodney King riot of the early 1990's, but it wasn't. Not even close. Don Lemon was an embarrassment last night.

I think a lot of us have said the same thing all along. Sadly, the community in this case turns a blind eye to what's going on and/or is generally apathetic to what happens.

Or they fully support what happened last night. Combinations thereof.

18 year olds are and have been killed forever. Our US military is full of them. This particular one, apparently, was the proximate cause of his own death.

I saw very young (like 8-10 yoa) out there in the midst of looters.

I do not deny that. But it was still a tragedy, regardless of circumstance. I do not and will not justify the death of one teenager because it "has happened before".

He basically killed himself.

They are products of poor home training. Raising your kids to value life and property doesn't cost anything - being unsupervised is no excuse to burn down your own community. I'm not saying you said that.... I'm just ranting. Anyway, I'd wager that my kids could get together with most of the kids of the posters of the politics forum and manage to not burn down their neighborhood and loot liquor stores.

I still don't think there is enough evidence to say this, and I don't think there ever will be. That's your opinion.

WTF were you watching last night and this morning?

He assaulted a cop inside his vehicle. He attempted to get the Wilson's weapon away from him. He goaded him by claiming he was too much of a "*****" to shoot. And charged the cop yet again after he had been shot at already.

Which part of stupidity and suicide is missing here?

Lebron James, Serena Williams, and Earvin Johnson all calling decision not to indict an Injustice.

They want the blood of the white man just like the thugs in Ferguson.

From my pov it is not a tragedy if someone causes their own death in a non accidental way. The tragedy is the lack of family values that led to this behavior

I'd remind my kids to stay warm in the jail, watch their booty hole and I'll be by in the morning to post their bail if they did such acts.

You can be upset and disagree with the findings and peacefully protest all you want. I support your right to do so.

An adult who assaulted a cop resulting in his death isn't a just cause for what we witnessed last night.

I was watching the same thing as you guys, but it's not as simple as you are making it out to be. All of the witnesses have conflicting stories; all of them. The only one the has been somewhat consistent is that of Officer Wilson, who had the most to lose in the situation. That's all I'm saying. We will NEVER really know what happened. Ever.

So based on the evidence that was presented to the grand jury they chose not to indict, and if I had been in the same situation I would have voted for the same thing. The grand jury made the right decision, but that doesn't mean I or the people of color around America have to like it. That's where you are getting confused: you think because I am sympathetic that I think the grand jury got it wrong; I don't.
