I heard it a couple games ago and it kills me that more teams don't do it. If the quarterback spreads out wide, that CB should be knocking the soul out of him when the ball is snapped. A free hit on your QB might make teams reconsider that.

If you're missing tackles it's not scheme because players must be in the right position to miss a tackle.
