The girl is just as guilty as the guys. Common sense tells ya immoral things happen when guys and girls get together with booz. Girls have to take responsibilty for their actions as well. Some girls must not know what happens when you wave meat in front of dogs.

Maybe we should give him the benefit of the doubt that it was a pun on how rape/sexual assault is a layered issue, one that cannot simply be viewed within the context of the ruling of the law. Then again, maybe not.

They're going to move those news trucks out of Columbia,Missouri? The ones stationed out there since the football player assaulted the swim team member and she committed suicide after the university did nothing? They left two days after the hearing? And that was all over the news during last year's SEC Championship? No? Nary a word? Well as long as they hightail it to Knoxville to bring this young man not even charged with a crime to justice. :hi:

She showed up there to get her lust on. She should stayed away. Worse things can happen when couple of drunk dudes are around. In the eyes of the real Judge, they ALL in the wrong

This is normal behavior for our "college students". Heck, our former players have robbed at gunpoint, stolen, beat up women, committed vandalism, thrown stuff at cars, been involved in bar fights. and even killed a couple of people. It's nothing new. It's not like she's dead or anything. She just took another one for the team.

She had been to the apartment before and had relations with Orta before. Now what happened with Lane is questionable and obviously concerning.

No girl, no matter if she's butt naked, deserves to be raped. However, my Dad always told me nothing good every happens after 2 AM. How many times have you took an attractive girl home at 3 am and not ended up in the same bed together? Let's all be real here, from this article, it sounds as if this girl knew she was going to have sex with Orta. Now, with that said, performing sex in front of another dude is probably not a very good idea. One, it shows you have zero moral values. Two, it shows you are pretty much open for whatever. She didn't asked to be raped, but she also didn't send off the best signals in the world either. You can't argue that, and if you do then you have to be of the mind set that woman are entitled to do whatever they want without consequence. I dated a girl who's mom is the head sexual abuse nurse in Asheville. I know the consequences of situations like these, and it's a very sad situation. However, as a woman, you have to make better choices then having sex in front of other people. On top of that, once she had sex why wouldn't she just leave when Orta left the room? A lot of this just doesn't add up to me. There's key details missing in this story IMO. Lane sounds like a real POS here, but this story is missing parts. The girl did herself no favors by having sex in front of another dude. Doesn't mean she was open to having sex with Lane, but good grief, most people don't have sex in front of people. It's just an odd situation.

Exactly, no one is ever raped before midnight. Besides, it's totally on the women who reject our sexual advances any way. It's a scientific fact that we menfolk are nothing more than uncontrollable neanderthals who are biologically driven to "smash that" when we see a woman between the hours of 1 am and 5 am. If women would just lock themselves in their rooms during those times it'd be much easier. Better yet, if they'd just stay there permanently we'd easily be able to solve this whole messy sexual assault/rape problem.... .... .... ..... ..... ..... ...... .......
