I don't think so. Some SEC schools are currently offering them as well. I have no doubt that a recruit/their family will see it as a huge deal, especially if they are looking for guaranteed stability in their college days.
For those who bust their asses I have no issue, similar to an a ademic scholarship. But, for those who slack off and are misses I think they should be able to cut them.

Here's your thing. You state it as your opinion then almost always reach around and go on to say it correlates with "reality". Its quite the conundrum don't you think? Again it's like you're not even aware you're doing it. Guess that's "JMO"

Good Lawd people, LV is just giving an opinion, which is a well read one I might add, and none of you are paying a penny to be on this website to receive information. So it's not like you have big bets riding on the outcome of what Burrell chooses to do. Get a grip, it's like your balloon will burst if he chooses a different school. He's a HS kid making a choice on where he wants to be for the next 3-4 years. There are others. None of you are in Butch's war room or you would not be on VN.

I don't always use "reality" as to my reasoning. At times I'm a star gazer and sipping the koolaid like the next guy. In this case, what I see tells me the fans are choosing to ignore some pretty big indicators. Anything can happen and God knows we could use all the OL help we can get. I just don't see this one going our way, at least at this stage in the game.

3. Really? It seemed to me and many others that if Worley had finished last year, they would have gone bowling. Dobbs did well all things considered, but I didn't get the impression he killed it last year.

6. Actually, his inconsistent passing could easily make him seem a worse option from practice. He missed a wide open slant to North. Another pass to North had him diving to make a two-yard gain. Another ball to North was overthrown and into double coverage. He lost another fumble on a run; he did that last year, too. I'm not dogging Dobbs; he played very well overall. I'm just saying it's not a stretch to believe he was outperformed from a throwing standpoint in practice. Plus, his parents wanted Dobbs to redshirt. If Dobbs wasn't head and shoulders above the other guys in practice, there's no reason not to try to keep the redshirt in my opinion.

7. Yes, please.

8. Bama moves Cooper all over the place. It was reported that trying to chase Cooper with Sutton pre-play would have really messed with the rest of their coverages, and I could see Sutton getting behind trying to run around the defense's formation. I'm not excusing it because clearly they didn't have a good plan to start the game. Also, the substitution thing from the refs didn't help.

One more thing, it was Sutton trailing Cooper on his second touchdown. Did Sutton slip or something? He was way behind. Anybody?

6. Wasn't implying he kills it but, then again, none of our QB's do. Simply put, Dobbs is the kind of QB you want running a read-option/spread offense. It kept the defense honest, for once, because there was a threat that the QB might actually keep the ball and run.

8. Cooper was moving all the place but that shouldn't prevent Cam from doing the same. He's our best cover corner but...probably a step or two below Cooper, at this point.

I'm not sure who you're taking about when you say all of the posters who are enamored by Leb. He takes more heat on this site than pretty much anyone else. Just because he posts a lot doesn't mean everyone agrees with him.

If ya can't stand the heat, get off the message board. Yeah, Bruin....I'm lookin at you ya quitter. :p

Just means the coaching staffs have to be a bit more selective and careful about how many guys they take a chance on.

Agree. I hope that is who mans those positions from here on out, or put Kerby at RG and Marcus at LG ( and that's not a knock on Jashon either...young man has done pretty well considering he played OG for a couple weeks in this system and started whole season).

Agree completely. Which is what some of us have been saying since the Okie game. Play the best players at their best position wherever possible. Clearly Kerbyson can play either G position equally well. His secondary position is RT. Kendrick is LT, secondary is RT. Jackson and Robertson are G. Weisman should be a G, but his secondary is C. Thomas is a C and will always be a C IMO. Sanders' best position is OT, but they have him at G. They need to start over with him IMO. An 80% Gilliam at RT really helped the situation immensely.

Really? Do we need to revisit the Josh Malone saga last year, or this years debate on the 28 number, or the Dylan Jackson speculation.

Unfortunately, yes there are a lot of people that seem to defend Leb, agree with Leb and incorrectly spread leb's opinions and statements as facts to others.

I just noticed that SBNation has Tennessee playing GA Tech in the Music City Bowl in their latest bowl projections.

I would be pretty damn happy with that

Absolutely. I don't care if we go to Shreveport or Birmingham. Just as long as we make a bowl this year.

I have no clue who you're talking about still. I don't think anyone on here thinks Leb is an insider. And again, he takes more heat for his posts than just about anyone. I don't know where you're getting any of this stuff.

Almost sounds like he is trying to gain a following or something. "Take it to the streets"!

Football Time/RTI have a pretty good article making the case for us getting to 7-5 and breaking down each game. If one of you youngsters care to fetch, its a good read. Made a believer out of me.
