Prattville's old HFC Bill Clark will land a big time job pretty soon. It won't be UF at this time but I would guess within 3 years. He's taken UAB from 2-10 last year to 4-3 in his first year putting 548 yds. on #1 MSU eventually losing 47-34.

Freeze isn't going to leave Ole Miss after this season. People need to just drop that one.

This and I don't get why people keep thinking he will. Plus you sure as heck don't want him at Florida of all places. He isn't going outside SEC when his dream was to coach at an SEC school. He has it made at Ole miss. Most of his life has been Memphis and Mississippi. Money isn't his motivator. He practically coached for free at Lambuth.

And ole miss will pay him anyway, so he'll have money and be at home and compete for championships.

I agree. If anyone is a man of his word its Hugh Freeze. Not to mention, he is a Mississippi boy. He isn't leaving Oxford. Look for Coach Mark Hudspeth from UL Lafayette to be a strong candidate for the FLA HCing job.

Hudspeth's record makes him look like a solid up-and-comer, but the HC of ULL would be a very hard sell at UF.

I think the only way Freeze would leave Ole Miss is if someone came and threw NFL money at him, which I don't really see happening.

So you think an average HS coach going straight to the SEC and landing a job with the OM staff 20 days after His player, Oher, committed was a charitable act? I guarantee this clown has had a 6 figure income until the smoke cleared and he could return to OM. This guy is dirty and hides behind Jesus...the worst kind of dirty.

Kinda like how UT gets the signature of a five star recruit & a month later hires his assistant head coach from the same Juco?

Anyone else think Butch was talking directly to Richmond in his comments monday referring to representing your home state and if you choose not to, you'll watch us win a lot of games here?
JMO

Think he was 'talking' to more than just DR...

I would pretty much guarantee that Art Briles name will be mentioned quite a bit after this season. Especially, where Florida is concerned.

First of all, I don't think he was an actual assistant the first time around at OM, but I would have to check that. I think he was in one of the lower paying positions. Secondly, the poster mentioned coaching at Lambuth. That was not a high school. It was a fledgling NAIA college in Jackson, TN that eventually closed and is now part of the U of M system. I can almost guarantee that he didn't make six figures there. He needed a job after Orgeron was fired. Also, he was also the girls basketball coach at his former high school and before all if this, he was offered an interview for the head women's basketball coach at the University of Memphis. Imagine if he had gotten that job. Just like everyone else in the world, he was simply trying to promote himself anyway possible. You may want to check your facts before making allegations.

Honestly, at first glance, I thought the same. Go look at Hudspeth's overall record as a Head Coach. What he's done in Lafayette is impressive. That program has never had success and he has those boys rolling. How often do "Big Splash" hires happen nowadays? Most of the time, ADs have to settle for their 3rd or so option. Hugh Freeze, Kevin Sumlin, and Gus Malzahn are all highly successful head coaches that were hired from smaller schools.

He got paid by boosters at Lambuth... He wasn't there for nothing
