Dobbs worked with the 1s today!

I'm just gonna make this real simple for us all. Regardless of whether you have an opinion of why Dobbs should or should not play. CBJ and staff have made the decision that he shouldn't and he won't. He has a reason because they have evaluated him on multiple levels and have come to that conclusion. You can all opine as to why he should play, how good he really is or will be, not gonna matter in the least. In Butch we all trust!

Moved the ball vs UGA when the playcalling was tailored to hin. Then Bajakian got stupid.

Yeah, 4-9 for 20 yds, drive killing fumbled exchange (I know, I know, it was clearly only Lane's fault), took a sack for -14 yds. He really had us moving. Although I gotta say, that statline shows monumental improvement over last year's 4-11, 5 yds, 0tds, 2ints, 1 fumble, 3 carries for -3 yds vs Florida.....at least he's moving in the right direction....only had 1 fumble vs OleMiss in limited work this past week.

Btw, that damn Bajakian, how dare he ask his backup qb, who's been in the program for 2 years now, to drop back and make similar throws that his starting qb had been and continued to make all day long. Just another reason to fire him I guess.

Dobbs was thoroughly beaten in summer competition. That's why he is #3. Reality matters.

Why do I continue this nonsense. At the end of the day, Butch says Peterman before Dobbs. If he's fine with that, VolNation needs to be fine with that.

Probably not planned, but a necessity if Worley is dinged up...fixin to see some Dobbs haters eat um some salty fare if Worley can't play.

Why is that?..He'll just go in there and stink it up just like he did last season...Not sure where you guys suddenly think he is the 2nd coming of jesus.

Stats? You're wrong, an idiot! Peterman didn't have a chance to prove himself. Twice. And he didn't look lost either time!

He should have taken himself out of the game after the broken thumb against Florida. I think the 5 yards passing, -3 yards rushing, and 3 turnovers in a half will forever be burned into fans minds. Fair or not he will be judged on that until he proves he has more to offer

How can he prove anything when some of these people's minds are made up? And why isn't Dobbs judged nearly as harshly?

I'm sure Peterman would love to play a whole game against a suck team like UK last year.

These arguments against Peterman are circular.

JW is still banged up and hurting.

He's a really tough guy and wants to play so he's trying to work through it and practice.

The other 2 are getting some extra reps to make sure they understand the scheme and plays to use against alaBummer just in case JW can't go or has to be replaced during the game.

If I was buTch, I would rest JW and not even play him this week since we've all expected to lose this game anyway.

I'd want JW just as healthy as possible going down the stretch to try to pull out 3 more Wins and make a bowl game.

I really want to WIN and kick nick saTans and laMe kiffScums butts but a L this week to make it to a bowl game would be well worth it...maybe.

#BrickbyBrick...VFL...GBO!!!

Nobody has ever said Dobbs is the second coming of anything, just that given the choice between him and Peterman, based on the only evidence we have of how they actually perform in games, that he's the much better choice to get us 3 more wins should Worley not be able to go. At the end of the day, I want the Vols to win and to see the qb that performs better in actual games.....that appears to be Dobbs. If Peterman gets in and somehow does the greatest 180 in the history of college football and leads UT to a win at some point this year I'll be thrilled and be pulling for the kid. Until that happens however, based on what I've seen of him to this point, I'll be hoping like hell they choose to put Dobbs in first.

Peterman played a lousy Florida team last year and looked lost.
Dobbs played the national runner-ups, Auburn, and didn't look anywhere near as incompetent.

I think this whole thread is about the fact that Dobbs practiced with the ones today and it isn't looking good for Worley this week per CBJ... So you anti-Dobbs peeps need to accept if Peterman gets the start and stinks it up we may actually see Dobbs...I mean its Alabama, mine as well ...

Actually, Dobbs is considered 2b.

Don't fool yourself. It wasn't even close. Dobbs is 3. Peterman demonstrated a much better arm with dramatically more accuracy than Dobbs - every day. In fact, Peterman was so much more accurate and consistent than either Dobbs or Worley, speculations about whether Peterman would be #1 began to ramp up.

Worley sits and Peterman injured is the only way we see Dobbs IMO

Dobbs did not look good when I've seen him on the field, IMO. But at this point I'm willing to try something. I think Worley needs a break for a week. Peterman was actually serviceable in the utc game. If Dobbs has to play the whole game vs Bama, I think the game gets ugly. He can't throw and Bama will stack the box so he won't be able to run. Peterman has a strong arm and looked a step quicker than Worley. Now whether or not he is mentally ready is another question. So, it's crap against the wall. Damned if Ya do, damned if ya don't.

You act as if you watched every minute of every practice.
