The Offensive Line is Atrocious Thread (merged)

I just can't see how the backups could be much worse.. I'd at least give a few other combinations a look. We make everyone's dline look great..

Dooley recruits or not, these guys look like they avoid blocks. That's coaching! This was an FCS team, Dooley's recruits should be stars at the FCS level!

Nobody moves there feet and when they do it's long slow strides. It's just bad. We are advancing everywhere but the O line is getting worse.

Well, these are some big ol' bastards that are receiving a free education to block people.
I say throw out experience at this point.
Talent could be in question, so let's see somebody/something else then! That decision is in the coach's hands.

Ok, whom or what might that somebody/something else might be? Do tell?

Coach needs to get on a plane tonight and hit every big time JC recruit and get on his hands and knees and beg, get 4 and maybe get 2 that can play, forget about Blair we missed on him we got to get some OL that can play are we will be saying this same thing next year Freshmen cant play in this league on the OL.

We're not advancing anywhere on offense but the line play is indefensible. No unit on offense appears to be progressing which falls at the foot of the OC.

Getting sacked 25% of the time when we drop back to pass. Absolutely pathetic. Wanna know why you're not happy with the play calling? There it is.

Zero OL recruits in 2012. None.

Tiny leaves with the senior starters. We are thin and young having already lost Gilliam at OT. The current guys with coaching and the weight room can get better, but they are being baptized by fire. Likewise, hard yo give Hurd rest when your other backs likewise are young and not good blockers. Starting freshmen at OL at Tennessee ...in the SEC is unheard of. and some of you want to fire Bajakian.

How about scheming for our sucky o line? Ever heard of a screen pass to the rb?

OR

Let's see if these other kids on scholarship want to block somebody.

That is what I mean...someone-new players. Something-new scheme. Tired of seeing same game plan with same offensive impotence. Yes Worley and receivers had some good passes, but can you recall one single good run?

Yep, sure do.

You sound like no other SEC team has ever started freshmen on the line. You are wrong. Not to mention our worst and probably the worst lineman ever to play at UT is Thomas, a true freshman, a BJ recruit.

Not true
O line is making everything look bad.
Few dropped passes. YAC is good. Backs are productive when they can get into space.
O line is a huge problem.

Ole Miss is gonna be doing this to poor Worley...

Bajakian has the worst job in the country. I couldnt imagine trying to call plays with these guys blocking.

Bajakian had experienced players he himself recruited during his last year at Cincy and scored 3 pts vs Rutgers at home. He had very experienced talented oline line last year and our offense also sucked. It's pretty obvious by now his system and play-calling is the real problem.

Screen pass? Sure......Have you ever heard of a Defense setting up a Pick 6 with pressure to force a screen or slant?

And it is very difficult to run through a hole that isn't there.

Sort of but not quite, although the result could be the same. That was a safety blitz and Defenses aren't have to go to that much trouble to get a man into our backfield.

Edit: Upon further review.......thats an OLB but everything else still applies.:)

And you are another who knows jack **** about football. Our WRs are not getting separation, our RBs can't block worth a ****, and our TEs can't block not best a freaking linebacker.

Look dude, my problem is with our offensive product, not you. But you insist on defending this crappy offense... First regarding the screen, you realize you're talking about UTC "setting up the pick 6" with their pressure against SEC athletes at their home field. Second, you couldn't have made my point better about there being no hole to run through. I couldn't agree with you more, its time we find a way to make a hole. Against teams like UTC. UTC.
