I'm not trying to take away from your point, as a matter of fact, I agree with it. And if, like in your scenario, Hubbs is playing 25-30 min as a 6th or 7th man, my concern would be moot. But in this case it would concern me a little also that a 5* player cant crack the starting lineup on this squad. If we had several other 4 or 5* he were competing against, it would be one thing. but we don't. jmo

And I agree with that assessment. Maybe it's taking him longer than normal. I just think by mid season if he's not starting or his minutes are down then I'll be concerned but if that starting 5 sticks and Hubbs can come in and provide a spark and double digit points then starting isnt a concern for me. I hope he transforms this year like Mcrae did his junior year.

Very true. After seeing a lack of bench scoring for the last couple of years, it might not be a bad thing for him to be coming off the bench. If like you say the starting 5 sticks and he is providing a spark. I hope he does well. And glad he decided to remain a Vol.

My thoughts. I think the he wants to be apart of this program and wants to succeed. I think he'll end up starting sooner than later.

Maybe ole Donnie is just using him not starting as a motivational tactic?

Could be. With the consistent effort CDT has got from his teams in the past he must be a pretty good motivator. Hopefully that trend continues, Frankenstein parts and all.

Just a drill I know, but to me Mr. McGee looked the most fluid and composed splitting the double team when it came. I'm looking forward to seeing him progress this season. He, Carmichael and Owens will take a pounding some games but they should be entertaining to watch. Exactly what a lot of folks have been begging for.
