He would definitely have the opportunity. Got to get him here first though (captain obvious). I wonder where we stand with him after his visit this weekend. Man winning that game would have been huge, that one is going to sting for a while.

That kind of proves his point in a way. Our oline has struggled big time, and not just because they're young (kerbyson is a RS JR and has struggled more than anyone although he is playing out of position) but that is definitely part of it. The talent level just isn't there for some of them. It wouldn't be too hard to beat out one of them next year. I'm sure they will improve but the ceiling is only so high for some of them.

True freshmen on the OL is almost ALWAYS a bad idea.

See the 2014 Tennessee Volunteers for reference.

The good news, is these guys will be a year older next year. Burrell can come in and develop, like every decent program does.

I'll take freshman Dobbs over freshman Worley any day. Hopefully, Dobbs is developing now

It takes a special freshman to make impact day 1 at OT position in SEC. The problem is we have a HS Center trying to do it. juwan did solid as a freshman but he was a 5 star.

Cam Robinson is doing it at bama. Tunsil did it at Ole Miss. But again 5 stars. It really has to be one of those top tier Tackles that is physically more mature than a typical freshman. That is why Richmond is a big loss if we can't flip him.

I've been thinking all along, the one team in the West aside from Bama that we don't want to be good, is Ole Piss. As long as Freeze has that thing rolling, they're gonna be a thorn in our side.

He's running train on the state of Tennessee this year (including some we may not have wanted), but nevertheless...

Just wait until next year. Arkansas will be a top 10 team since we play them.

That may be true, but it's an entirely different scenario when the OL is already set in stone, with upperclassmen firmly entrenched like you would see in most programs.

It's how Juan James was able to come in as a True Freshman and play well at RT. He didn't have an established starter ahead of him. I don't think there will be an entrenched starter on this OL in the Spring. So, if a true freshman can come in as an EE and show off, then they have a decent chance to play sooner than they would otherwise.

I think Zach Stewart is going to be one of those, whom the staff really likes. He's already SEC-level in size.

Here's the thing.... We don't know if it doesn't work or there's a problem yet... We all thought we were further along after the GA game, then suddenly after FL some think it's all gone. It's all an overreaction.... Not to mention, that while playing very well, this is not the type of QB to play this offense. I say we will still improve this year and definitely next year.

Dobbs didn't do anything against any team not named Kentucky. Dobbs is tailored for this offense too, while Worley seems to refuse to keep the ball no matter the occasion. Worley has done more with less of a skill set. What Worley can do is make the proper checks and command the offense and make throws Dobbs can't. Unfortunately I think Peyton is a better running QB.

For the love of the deer lord if he would keep the ball 3 times a game to keep the defense honest we would be ok.

I think your statement is really unfair. Robertson is playing at the position, OG, where he was projected. And has not performed that badly. He's getting better with each game. Thomas is a center and was recruited to be the future center or guard. The physical skills needed for tackle are much different than for center or guard. He is struggling for good reason. Kerbyson was projected to be a guard and is now playing tackle. He has also had his troubles. All I ask is that we are fair in our assessments. Especially when it comes to the 17 year olds. Next year's OL could also have 17 year old freshmen starters, possibly at both tackle positions.
