My point was that Tennessee takes football serious, we have a large fan base and we expect to contend for National Championships a little more often than we have the past 10 years. I know they will have down years but the Peach Bowl route is getting a little old and if Michigan with their 'largest' stadium isn't getting it done than they need to make changes too. Oh wait, they're looking for a new coach right now. The problem with the "we had a good year" argument is that many fans are getting comfortable with the typical three loss season and crappy mid-level bowl game.

Break it down anyway you like , but the bottom line is Ainge did not get the job done . great job by the defence , I gave Chavis hell all year but those kids on the D left it all on the field today .

HOW MANY TEAMS IN AMERICA CAN SAY THEY HAVE A PROGRAM LIKE US?? Maybe 10, MAYBE!!! This is the SEC. Yes, the lost to Cal was bad, but it was against a young team. We are still there. We are not Mediocre. Just because the poles have us at 14 doesnt mean were 14th. I can pick out about 5 teams that we can beat head to head that are above us. And in case you forgot we beat that team thats #4!!!!!

I'm well aware it's #4, if you read the post I used the word "typical" which might indicate that it could be an example or a reference to other seasons besides this one. There are plenty of teams that have been better than Tennessee since '98.
