'15 FL QB/WR/DB (anything he wants) Torrance Gibson PART II

I know people get mad when people say this but .... We need a running qb in this offense .... We saw that last night when the Oklahoma de were crashing down because Worley can't pull it and run.....

And if JJ can improve his passing, we will have just that. I also think QD will be a step up (mobility wise) from Worley.

We don't have to have a true duel threat QB. In order to be effective in this offense the qb needs to be a threat to run a little bit. JW is not that threat.

You disagree how? Regardless of the reason, he's not a threat to run the ball for opposing defenses. Whether it's his unwillingness, physical ability, or coaches instructions, he's not keeping the ball on the zone read. Which in turn makes the "read" in zone read an non-factor. No team respects the threat of Worley keeping the ball.

Worley couldn't pull it and run because he was too busy being a punching bag in the pocket. Running the ball more would have increased his chances of getting injured.

TG was on a visit to UT when CBJ decided to take a commitment from Quinten Dormady. Another GREAT decision by Butch Jones. As of that day, Gibson's chances to be a Vol ended. It is what it is.
