If I remember correctly, is was shown by the number of calls and texts the AUTISTIC kid received on his phone. It really is a disturbing story.

I didn't see the article you were referring to. You say Reason article like there's only one in this thread lol

But either way, other than the demographic angle, most of those cities are in large metro areas. So I'm wondering what else sets them apart.

I'm wondering if there is more than meets the eye here. There just seems to be something huge missing from this picture. At face value it does appear the cops are completely heartless in this situation and picking on a mentally challenged individual.

But I am wondering if there is a Paul Harvey "and now...the rest of the story" angle here. This isn't a defense against what happened, but it just seems like there is more to this that isn't being reported.

I have resisted posting this article. I would like to make clear I do not advocate killing cops or anyone else for that matter. As an anarcho/capitalist I believe in the non aggression principal. I only use violence in self defense. With that said, this is surely to cause some outrage from some of our boys in blue here.

The cops must have seen 22 Jump Street and thought, hey, write that down! :eek:lol:

So stupid. That's what our tax dollars are paying for? Manchildren getting a chance to relive their high school days by busting the campus kingpin?

It's crazy. Especially when you consider the areas where these "busts" were conducted. This is seriously crossing the line.

I feel cops shouldn't be playing drug raid games in our schools period. These are minors, it's a parenting problem.

Edit: No, I wouldn't want the parents brought up on charges either. Crime is a very subjective word these days. If there is no victim, there is no crime.

Glanced through it. It kind of wanders around a bit and frankly, is not getting my attention like something that went straight to the point.

It's probably profound reading, but making simple concise points and stopping the building analogies might get the point across much better.

It wasn't meant to address Cantwell specifically, just the mindset of the libertarian brutalist.
Mr. Tucker happens to be one of my top 5 people in the world. You should read his work sometime.

Okay, fine, but do you agree or disagree there is possibly more to the story here?

I'm looking at it objectively. And to me, the risks are not worth the rewards in this particular case. Which leads me to believe there is something else here that hasn't been/isn't being reported.
