People are over analyzing this. His mom wants him close to home and I'm sure he wants to stay closer too. It is what it is. Memphis will never be a pipeline when many other SEC schools are much closer
When he gets drafted to the NFL is he still going to have to be close Memphis.....?
This stuff happens all of the time...even many non-athletes stay closer to home when they go to college. Most people grow up during their 4 years and still like that "close to home" feel. It just so happened that 6 hours seemed close enough for me.
I will go anywhere if someone wants to pay me millions.
Why any african american player would choose too go to one of the most backward redneck schools this side of AU and UA is beyond me.Hell they still have Klan meetings down there.Drew needs too watch the movie Mississippi burning. He might come away with a different view of Ole Mi$$.Racism still runs rampant thru the whole backwards state.

It really blows my mind that people forget what a racist backwards place the whole state is.If he wasn't a 5 star football player wonder how Ole Drew would get treated by the locals. Not very well I would be willing too wager.
There is a lot of smoke around Richmond to Ole Miss but as big a need as an OT is in this class we sure aren't hearing of any back up plan. IMO that says either the staff thinks he will be a Vol or he already is. I honestly don't have a clue.
