I doubt it would have any impact. Wins/losses don't matter to recruits as much as one might think.

Sure they do. Program dominance is a factor. It's not the end all be all, but do you really think Butch Jones will continue to recruit at a high level if he doesn't have something to show for it?

He will get results of course, but going 5-7 and pulling a top 5 class is the exception not the rule. He is selling the recruits on a return to dominance, but IF (it will but if) it doesn't materialize then it'll be a problem.

Sure they do. Program dominance is a factor.

It can be a factor if that's what the recruit wants. I'm sure Alabama has benefited greatly from winning multiple NCs. The opposite could be true for a recruit that wants to play early. Go to a school that looks promising and needs them to contribute now instead of waiting on the depth chart for two years.

But I'd say relationship with coaches, education, playing time, friends/girlfriends, and NFL draft potential if he's that quality recruit weigh heavier than one game's outcome.

He is selling the recruits on a return to dominance, but IF (it will but if) it doesn't materialize then it'll be a problem.
And one game against Ole Miss probably isn't going to prove that either way.

This question sort of pains me to write...

We're obviously battling Ole Miss for Drew, Ole Miss plays Vandy this weekend and Drew announces his initial commitment next week...so, are we rooting for Vandy to beat Ole Miss Saturday?

Yes only game that you do root for vandy

Actually, I can only bring myself to root for ole miss to lose this weekend. Cannot bring myself to root for their opponent. :)

Never good when a team like Ole Miss gains ground all of the sudden like this.

We led after his visit and now we seemingly trail. Unbelievable.

One position isn't gona crash Butchs plan. Eric Fisher guys. Hell I bet Butch could turn Dylan Jackson into a 1st round left tackle. He got this.

I'm pretty sure that even if Richmond does commit to Ole Miss on Tuesday, that Tennessee won't give up their pursuit of him. I imagine we will get an official at least and an in-hone visit.

In other words, I don't think Tuesday is the end either way.

What happened I thought we had the due here. Now one analyst picks olé piss and a tweet and now we won't get him. Is that correct or am I missing something?

I still think he is Ole Miss bound. Nobody wants to hear this though. We need help at tackle in the worst way.

Maybe so, but Butch ain't gonna give up if announces on Sept. 9th for OM. He's made Richmond a priority for a very long time and he isn't gonna just say "well ok, he's going to OM, time to move on."

If you are an OT recruit and when you look at UT's you don't get excited for the opportunity then you should go elsewhere.....ton of interior linesman and not very much in terms of OT talent....
