I would give yourself some time. You guys have only been dating a few weeks, so you're still in that mushy honeymoon phase. At the six month to a year mark you both actually start to act like yourselves as opposed to the version of yourself you think the other wants to see...and that's when you can tell if it's someone you really could see yourself marrying...even then I wouldn't rush into it. Big decision at 20 and 19

I'd give it a few years. At 20, there is no reason to rush. You barely know yourself at 20. You'll change and so will she. You can grow apart or grow together. Wait to see which path you take. I got married six year into my relationship and it gave me the time to see that my wife isn't just a companion but she's also my best friend.

Since this is the Off Topic thread....can we personally attack posters in here?

If so, I'm starting a list.

1. Butchna- I'm still waiting on the salve man.
2. MockingVol- Portray me better next time.
3. LT21- A seven star bad name....oh yeah, you're added buddy!

The list will grow as I sober up I'm sure.

As soon as I get the go ahead, you guys are in for it.

I disagree. Move in together as soon as possible. Share a room and get laid often. If he marries her it will all come to an abrupt stop. Get it while you can. :)

In all seriousness my Vol brother:

I represent too many people in divorces that tell me "what the hell was I thinking?"

Sit back and ask yourself: "why rush?"

Unless one of your green cards are expiring, take it slow. See if she rolls the toothpaste from the bottom or squeezes from the top. See if she farts in front of you. Determine if you think she would be a good mom. Does she love the Vols?

All important questions. Good luck.

To answer your original question honestly. My first wife and I were young when we got married. I was 20, she was 19. We were 1 month away from our 23rd wedding anniversary when she passed away from cancer.

If it truely feels right, don't let anyone talk you out of it. Just make sure it really feels right.



Side note: We were dating a month when I asked her to marry me. We were married 13 months after our first date.

Thanks bald. To explain my situation more, even though it's only been a few weeks, we have really started to fall in love with each other, and have been talking about the future. This is my first serious relationship, and I wasn't sure how long i should wait. I think i'll ask her hand in marriage once i have more money.

If this is your first serious relationship, then you definitely need to wait for a while. Both of you are young and still somewhat immature. Things will change over the next couple of years. If the both of you still feel the same way about each other after a couple of years, then put a ring on her.
