Definitely sounds like Drew is wanting too be a Vol and just needed his parents too ok it, and from the articles sounds like the parents really liked it. Vol

Yeah. He's a legit stud. There's a reason FSU wanted him bad. I'd bet right now that he's gonna be CBJ's next Eric Fisher story.

Oh man... I mentioned "Eric Fisher" in a thread a while back and got blasted by like 50 posters. Good luck...

I was the one that gave you a hard time. The Eric Fisher talk had been bothering me for a while. Your post just happened to be the one where I finally decided to say something. Sorry about that. You seem like a really respectful poster.

Yeah, that was my comparison as well. This kid was great at Baseball, Basketball and football. He has all kinds of athletic ability. Definitely could be the best of all of them.

He plays DT in his high school film too. Just an big all-around athletic dude.

No blue font on that last sentence?

Remember that time that Riley Ferguson was the future of UT football because they used his practice footage to recruit Malone?

I'd advise taking the Thomas to Center stuff with a grain of salt.

He may not play center but I don't think it's the same.

The big news is not Thomas playing center. That's what he played throughout high school and he's very good at it. The big news is that he appears to be the left tackle of the future, not Richmond, as we had previously thought (provided we do sign Richmond).

And yeah, completely un-relatable comparison. Thomas is already starting as a true freshman.

I can't believe I'm getting sassed for not buying into a hypothetical scenario that just happens to create an opportunity for immediate playing time for the recruit who reported it.

They're both pitches that entice recruits to come to UT. The first one didn't come true and to each his own on the liklihood of this one, I guess.

This is the 1 player that we supposedly lead for that scares me. Something about his recruitment makea me think he goes elsewhere, but i hope he ends up a vol.

Exactly. Coaches tell recruits what they want to hear to get them to commit. It happens all the time. Recruits are told they will start early or are guaranteed a shot at a certain position only to have those options changed by the coaches. People need to understand this.

Those were really Peyton Manning cut ups, TIFWIW

I prefer to think Coaches are optimistic during recruiting. Richmond is going to be a great college player and he will get his shot. If he comes in so good that he unseats a senior starter then I guess that would be ideal, I just am not banking on that happening.

Of course that's not having seen our OL.
