Good God, give the kid a break! You are grown men acting like children. I assume that. Maybe some of you are high schoolers also! I can take it as a senior and throw it right back at you but some of you probably have children older than Dallasbowlin. Senior Drill's son. Come on. If it were not for the two of us you would have had not threads all summer because the rest of you are too lazy to start one or don't know how, one or the other! Some of you can't post more than a few words at a time and have the gumption to criticize someone who does!

If we see a slow start and mediocre recruiting during his first 2 years, will we see fans calling for his head similar of the last coach? Will DT's personality and talk sway the fans to give him more time?

The next mob of angry villagers with torches will be posting about how he's all charm and flash and that's not gonna get it. As opposed to the previous mob posting about CCM having no charm or flash and that's not gonna get it.

It's a message board with topics for discussion. Many of us picked this one for one reason or another, yourself included. You decided to make known your personal crusade for the unseen athletes of E. KY and parts abroad. Everyone, except Senior Drill disagrees with your argument (and no, his support isn't a badge of honor). Everyone who has given their opinion has done so based on the legitimacy of your argument.

What about that do you find funny? The purpose of this novel concept is discussion. You just don't like it because your on the wrong side of popular opinion (in this case, fact).

If you think I'm wrong ,which I'm not then why are you so taken back by all my points that you feel the need to attack at my age? Or resolve to nitpicking? It proves not only am I right about this certain thing but you obviously don't know as much as you think you do,yes you make solid points as well and I respect that but you've also shown there's a lot of things you don't know

You are wrong, though. Everyone you mentioned is an unknown with no offers worth reporting. Your only "proof" is that you play against him and he's "unguardable." If he's as good as you say he would get noticed and if he played AAU he definitely would. Coaches don't avoid small town kids if they can play at a high level. Then you cited Harrow as an example and he was a 5 star recruit. There are so many holes in your argument that it makes zero sense. I would also be willing to wager that you probably listed yourself among those names. You sure do take this very personally.

For the record, Kentucky having "interest" isn't the same as having an offer or them wanting a committment. Hell, the point guard on my high school team got a letter of interest from UNC and ended up walking on at a low major school and never really played. Ended up transferring to a D2 school and fizzled out.

The first requirement for survival on VN is a 'Thick Skin.'
Then develop the art of 'wit stabbing.'
Understand that many who oppose with personal insults really have no argument of their own but are baiting you because of your anticipated response.
Stay on the board and don't take things so personal.

And I'd add: learn to let it go. (You were doing pretty well with this before.) There are a lot of people who love to play gotcha. It would be nice to have more of the others. :hi:

First, I've neither attacked your age or nitpicked. Disagreeing with the entire premise of your argument is much different than hosing you for a misspelled word or misplaced comma. That would be nitpicking.

Second, I'm going to mention your age now, only because you breached the subject. I think most people who have mentioned your age believe your age is relevant because of the seemingly naive/innocent perspective in which you view this issue. I'd agree that it is almost assuredly a factor, whether you'd agree/admit it, or not.

Lastly, just because no one agrees with you, and brings up your age or "nitpicks", that isn't some sort of proof-positive that your opinion is correct. If I say the earth is flat, and you call me an idiot and pick apart my argument piece by piece, does that automatically mean I'm right? Of course not.

What is this "cult" you keep talking about? Is that your argument against people disagreeing with the dumb stuff you post? Do you honestly think the only reason people think you are wrong is because bto thinks so? If that's what you think then maybe internet message boards aren't for you.
