Really hate to hear this Kat. Focus on the good times you had together. It'll help. I know I'm right around the corner from losing one or both of my grandparents. I make sure I talk to them daily. I have plenty of happy memories overr the past 35 years.
I'm not an overly emotional person. I mean I cry at stupid stuff like commercials but real life stuff I guess I feel like I'm supposed to be the one to keep it all together. I wrote the bulk of his obituary last night and then am doing a picture video to be shown in the waiting area during visitation. He was struggling and he was tired so it was time. He and my dad talked a long time last week and he told my dad that he was ready. We will miss him, but he's with my grandma now so how can I justify being sad about that
I remember when folks used to be polite, courteous, kind and respectful. Today, some are trying to give the same thing a bad name by calling it political correctness.
