Lucky for UT we don't need a "runner". Just a QB who can throw the ball extremely well and move well enough to extend plays to get the ball to the playmakers. 4-5 times a game the QB can tuck the ball and keep it for 5-6 yards at a time and a 1st down. We won't be lined up in the wildcat 90% of the time. The idea we need a "running QB" is just silly.

If worley had wheels like dobbs we'd all have a merry Christmas.

If the opportunity is worth fighting for, then keep on fighting. If its not, find a better opportunity.

This one would be. Unless there is news that is detrimental to the program that hasnt broke.[/QUOTE]

I don't think so. He seems to be a headache and might have grade issues. We already have two great QBs committed to us. We should focus on other needs.

One of the keys to sales is being able to know when something is worth it and when it isn't. Big money vs. small money isn't the only name of the game. If people want to lolly gag and play games, sometimes your time and efforts all better spent else where.

This is magnified in football. I want a play(at any position) who is blown away by UT's facilities and coaches. I want players who know they want to be here.

Clearly im not a salesman.

Agreed, we only have so much time and scholarships. Why deal with a huge issue when we could get someone just as good on the line.

I agree Worley does not move as well as Dobbs does. At least he did not last year. This year, I expect we will have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. :loco:

I hope he gets better I do. Simply because I dont need to lose my voice again wanting worley to keep it and gain 30 instead of losing 3.

And for the record I dont want Gibson at qb.

Id like to see more of a cp role from him. Little wr little rb. Truly embrace the athlete role...

As an outside salesman, I endorse this message.

Recap on what was said? Bartow does know Gibson better than just about anyone that covers recruiting.

Just talked to an Ohio State insider who says Urban steered away because he was "pro style"?...Bartow's on now.

Oh Good Lord.

Freak shut this thread down before news of "wanted in 4 states for multiple homicides" hits the twitter. :)

Hey, I didn't make up the rumor. I just shared what I heard them say. Ainge actually said that if he actually knew something he wouldn't probably tell what it was anyway, and he thought the way Ohio State (backing away quietly) was the right way to handle things. He definitely wasn't trying to bash TG during the segment that I listened to...

There are many great athletes on the market. Why deal with a massive headache while we can get one of the others?

Recruiting = sales.

I did not mean it toward you at all. More so just that more and more rumors will get crazier and crazier on why he does not end up at UT. None of it good IMO.

Ainge mentioned the RUMOR of a 1.4 GPA this morning. No idea if that is true in the least.

When I played (10 years ago), the state of Florida required at least a 2.0 GPA to play in any sport. Im not positive, but I think it had increased after I graduated. So he would have had to have maintained at least a 2.0 through the season. So if the rumor is true, his GPA would have had to drop .6 since January. Not sure that rumor is legit.
