If the staff gives TG the option to commit now or they move on, it is what it is. I would not risk losing Dormady today to HOPE TG picks UT 8 months from now. TG wants in, I think the coaches take him. IMO he waits and Tennessee adds another QB in the next day or so.

You NEVER want to do that as a QB recruit. Even if you are a 5*. Most teams have their QB spots all wrapped up by the end of summer. So, for QB's, it's like a psuedo early signing period.

Most of the the QB's commit early so they can focus on their Senior season and help give their chosen school an early boost in recruiting.

Would all depend on if he were allowed to continue to take visits. If he is, there would be a lot of freak outs IMO. If I'm CBJ, he is shutting it down or I'm not taking him.

And this is the right move. Worst thing that could happen is end up with none of them in February. Take the guy willing to commit and start recruiting for us.

I know, I've read that a hundred times before already. I'm not saying I like it. I'm just saying he seems pretty set on not committing anywhere this summer. I think he's afraid of making an impulsive decision. Maybe he'll change his mind though.

I think he should be more concerned with the decision just about being taken out of his hands. What happens when come Feb not a single school in his top 7 is looking to add another QB? "You take him no matter what" is just fans loving the *'s IMO. I could easily see him ending up somewhere no one ever expected because his options all dried up.

My own personal opinion of course, but to me, the longer a QB takes to commit the less I want him.




EDIT: Of course if the Ainge tweet is about Gibson, then forget I said anything. :)

Ainge tweeted there is a big time commitment coming soon (tonight). I assume he is mentioning a QB and I don't think he knows much about Dormady. Most likely is mentioning TG.

J/K LV, I know I've seen you say that exact thing several times in the past couple of weeks alone.

It is interesting how TG's twitter has gone very quiet AND he has stayed longer than expected in Knoxville!
