Riley Ferguson appears to be gone

I have no reason not to believe the person who posted that.

I mean I never met them and about 5-10% of the time they post something that could be true. Heck, I trust that anonymous poster from TOS like my own brother.

From Rucker...

There are two summer sessions left.
I would imagine there's time to fix just about anything that isn't an academic dismissal. For instance, I was on academic probation after a beer-infested failure of a semester spring of my sophomore year, and I had to fix some things that summer.
But we know how these rumors work. They're not always true. It seems to me like something is going on, because no one is being quick to shoot it down. But there are degrees of issues. If this an issue, we'll try to learn how serious it is.

More of the hard hitting journalism I've come to expect from Rucker.

Yeah, but this is normally how we hear about these things. I hope it's not true, RF seems like a smart kid, I find it hard to believe he failed out

it is not academics.

it has more to do with where he stands on the depth chart. He doesn't want to sit and hold a clipboard this fall.

So you're saying Peterman flunked out too. That rumor is on you now. Nice going.

Doubt this is true. Riley is from Matthews, NC it's nothing but money in that area.

I don't think any of us knows that much about his family, though.

I will say this re: families of players paying for extracurricular coaching/training - it's a lot easier to dish out a few thousand bucks for some side work in the summer when you're not having to drop 80 grand on 4+ years of a college education. It's also why I don't find it utterly ridiculous for players to have nice phones, cars, spending money, etc - not having to pay for college gives your parents a hell of a lot more financial freedom to help you out with expenses.

This is what I heard. Guess it's true.

If he doesn't like where he's at, work harder. Pretty simple.

No my little cousin was a cheerleader at Butler High and I remember taking her and a friend over to his house. Believe me money isn't much of an issue for that family.

Unless he goes FCS, he's going to sit and not even be allowed to touch the clipboard.

He is literally a play away from being The Man. I hope he thinks this through.

I suppose Moc fans might be excited right now. Feels like another blow to our once mighty Vols.

I think he needs to leave if he feels this way. You earn things in life. They are not given. He is a RS freshman. If he can't compete, then he is not who we want under center anytime soon.
