OL was over rated last year but still pretty good. I think we will be slightly worse on OL but not much. DL is what I'm most concerned about.

I sort of agree with part of this. From everything I can discover (and I recognize that's limited) I think Mahoney and Stripling are two of our better coaches and Stripling seems to be much more optimistic coming out of spring practice than he was coming out of fall camp last year.

Obviously we have questions all over the field. I guess that comes with being in a rebuilding mode for the entire program. I took a stab at ranking our position groups by strength, least questions to most questions.

1. Running Backs
2. Wide Receivers
3. Line Backers
4. Tight Ends
5. Offensive Line
6. Defensive Line
7. Secondary
8. Special Teams
9. Quarterback

We had to put our staffordshire terrier/shepherd mix down due to cancer about 2 1/2 months ago. He was with us for about 11 years. He was a great dog and super tolerant with our kids. That was a really sad day.

I'm sorry for your loss, I had to put one that had been my best buddy for 12 years down about 1 1/2 years ago. I just got over it enough about a month ago to where I could get another. It's amazing how close you can get to a dog. But, when they take such good care of you and your family, and are so obedient they practically read your mind, it's bound to happen.

I appreciate the intel, Mr. Swanson... .but that article makes me want to projectile vomit. f*** Jon Gruden. The fact that that POS is going to be anywhere NEAR Knoxville is depressing. Hope CBJ uses a lot of hand sanitizer, lest some of Gruden's fail rub off on him.

I have no issue with Gruden being on campus and or helping the staff out in any way. Recruits seem to like him. Most of the fans with negative things to say about the man are just butt hurt cause they bought into the BS that he would be the next coach in Knoxville. I say if CBJ wants him to make an appearance, go with it.

Weird. IIRC, you're Buccaneers fan who has some hateful agenda from when he coached there, correct? Leave it in the past.

Jon Gruden loves UT and is willing to help the university in many ways, he's a big asset to Butch and UT. Don't let your weird hate for Gruden get in the way of the fact his presence in Knoxville is GREAT for recruiting. Move the F on.

Seriously?!?! Wow...I forgot about there being a whole lotta fail with a Super Bowl winning coach lol. Not to mention the help in recruiting. Smdh...

See, I knew there were gonna be those blinded by a SERPER BERHL RING ERMAGHERD. Do yourself a favor.....check the stats. Monte Kiffin's DEFENSE won that Super Bowl in SPITE of Gruden. I reiterate.....f*** Jon Gruden. FPOS needs to stay the hell away from Knoxville, I give less than zero damns how much he 'loves the University'.

NONE OF THAT MATTERS

Recruits love Jon Gruden. Jon Gruden loves UT. Butch and he are friends. Jon Gruden being in Knoxville is a very good thing for recruiting. THAT IS ALL THAT MATTERS.

Every. Last. Word. Of. This.

Who would be stupid enough to turn away the help of someone like Gruden? Wow is all I've got to say...

Titans_caravan_0010_t618.JPG

In one of his first encounters with new Tennessee Titans coach Ken Whisenhunt, second-year wide receiver Justin Hunter was told, "You need to gain weight."

After the gangly former University of Tennessee wideout reached 200 pounds for the first time in his life, the Wiz said, "You need to gain more weight."

When a steady diet of Popeye's spicy fried chicken, among other rich foods, added another five or six pounds to Hunter's still-frail frame, Whisenhunt replied, "Good, but keep going."

Said Hunter on Friday during the Titans Caravan stop at Academy Sports + Outdoors at Hamilton Place: "I've picked up 13 to 14 pounds in all. I'm up to 206-207. I'm just trying not to get on the coach's bad side."

Missouri's Top 2015 Draft Prospects - Columbia Daily Tribune | Columbia Missouri: Behind The Stripes

Article on Mizzou's top NFL draft prospects. They have a few nice pieces but overall I wasn't really impressed. After the two DL, the rest of those guys sound pedestrian. I expect a huge drop off for them this year.

Guy I work with is a big Mizzou fan and he follows recruiting pretty closely. Said last years class was their best ever. We will see how they last.

Man recruits love that guy, whether you do or not. He by all accounts is friends with CBJ and no doubt will be touting him to everybody in attendance. It's a huge selling point to have guys like Gruden on campus.:hi:
