With all the 2's we have landed, who will we utilize as our main PG? I truly believe it's the most important position on the floor. But maybe Tyndall's system doesn't use a traditional PG. Thoughts?

That is a good question. Unless Tyndall wants to play Lopez, someone will be playing out of position if we don't sign a PG before the end of the summer.

EDIT: Chiles, most likely.

Chiles committed partly because he wants the opportunity to be the PG, and Tyndall told him that's what he expects him to be. We could still bring in someone else, but right now it looks like Chiles is gonna be the guy getting the bulk of minutes at PG.

Chiles only had a 3.2 GPA in middle school. Doubt he can play the point for us. If he doesn't average at least 20 and 10 in the RTL he's clearly a bust.

The best 2 options between Chiles, and Jrich or a tad of Mostella to see what happens.

Plenty of time to work on ballhandling and managing the team. I really want to see jrich there some.

One of the comments from Baulkman I think it was made me think that they had talked to him about maybe playing some point and I would imagine they would want to get Mostella more minutes than just what he would get at just the 2. Assuming he clears that is.

Lopez hater!! SD will be here soon to straighten you out.

No, I think that well is dry. Lopez got tired of paying money gram fees because Senior is too old school to setup a paypal account. Frankly, I'm excited to see which Rain Man Topic Du Jour Señor Mouthpiece comes up with next.

All in good humor Señor.

Would love for Josh not to have that added stress. Save his energy for D

With all the shooting guards and scorers DT is recruiting you would think he's building a team in the mold of Loyola Marymount Univ. from the late 80s and early 90s.......Bo Kimble anyone?

Yep, those Marymount teams were fun to watch. Not much defense was ever played in those games. Hope CDT's style translates well with the SEC officiating which was extremely poor at times in my opinion.

Lol, I'm not sure there is ANY style that translates well with the horrible SEC officiating. Some of the worst calls made last season I have ever witnesses, especially by the ref that had it out for J. McRae ( I can't remember the guys name)

I would like to see Mostella developed at the point. I think him and Chiles with split minutes.

I think if Mostella has any aspirations of playing at the next level he will put in the time to develop at the PG position. 6'3" is on the short end for today's NBA 2 guard.

Heck yeah, let's go out and average 110 ppg like those guys did.

Was it the Ref that called a technical on Maymon that pretty much cost us the game? I believe it was the SEC Tourney game.

I think you want a guy like Mostella with the ball in his hands a lot. Training camp will be fun this season to see who comes out as the starters from this group.
