2014 Georgia Forward Phil Cofer

Looking at this now: Mostella, Punter, Richardson, Suarez, Hubbs
Pops, McGhee, Cofer, Owens, Moore, Reese , McKnight

Need another guard it seems if this happens and Carmichael would not have an opening. I think we'd rather go McKnight than Carmichael because he is a freshman. I think Pops is 13 on the bench unless he makes great strides this summer.

Carmichael is JUCO. I think I would rather take him than McKnight even though McKnight is only a one year player. That would give you 2 scholarships for next year with a very athletic team and then 4 scholarships for 2016, which is the year that I think Tyndall could really start rolling with high level recruits. JMO.

Ok, I'm slow. I just saw this. I didn't know that Owens had an OV scheduled. I missed that. So we are getting his last OV?

Been to temple, seton hall this weekend, Tennessee next. Has visits to UT-M and Dayton scheduled the following weeks, maybe be cancels those after visiting UT.

How many 6'8" 220 guys do we have right now?

The guys likely coming in. Owens, Cofer Maghee, Carmichael could all be pushing 220 after a summer and fall in the weight room. If you expect us to be playing UF purely with the roster we have now then we have more problems than only being small.

Thanks. Good matchup. Winnable game and at home.

I'm not getting my hopes for Cofer coming to UT. He backed away from the plate and according to his HS coach, he believes Cofer is going to end up at either FSU or Va Tech.

His high school coach knows squat it seems. He said Ga Tech or FSU.

Mike Cofer said Ga Tech isn't a candidate. UT, VaTech, FSU are the finalists.

I will hold my celebrations until he says, he has signed with UT and not before then.

The impression I get of Cofer is that he wants to come to UT really bad. He wants a little love also. If Tyndall gives him that he will be a Vol. I think he wants to play here very badly. I think he and the new coach may have got off to a rocky start but a visit could fix all that. With Georgia Tech. out of the picture I am feeling Vol all the way.

If they can get him in for a campus visit at UT-Martin, he will be a Sky Hawk. That setting will sell itself!!:)

I don't know how Mike is doing these days but I bet he and Mom would love nothing more than to see their son play in TBA this coming season. I think that since they are both graduates nothing would warm their heart more than to watch him play in the Orange.

Yep I live about 39 miles from the Martin campus. If you are into the Mayberry kind of life would be the perfect location for a player. With that said that Ohio guy that took over the team is doing some solid recruiting we may be hearing from the Skyhawks in a season or two.

Possible visit May 17th not confirmed as of yet for Cofer. If we can get through the Florida State visit which is supposed to be this week and get that visit on may 17th I think he is a Vol. Hamilton is a good coach hopefully he can't get a commitment on that visit.

Idk what to think about this kid now. I'm wondering how much he actually wanted to be at UT in the first place. The fact that he 'might' re-visit us is troubling. Sure he is probably really good but I'll be questioning whether he will want to be here and give his all for us. :dunno:

My guess is he will give his all wherever he goes.
