I think it is very reasonable for people to question just how interested in Tennessee Gibson is. If you recall he did not start talking up UT much on twitter until Chuma Edoga told him IF he did, the UT fans would blow up his twitter follower count. Literally that day, Gibson starts talking up UT and as Edoga said, UT fans went crazy. People felt Edoga was serious when he claimed UT was his "leader". Maybe he just forgot to include UT in his top 5 a week after naming his top 5 and the Vols were #1. Really? Some of these kids like to play the game and IMO there is a VERY good chance that Gibson is doing just that, just as Chuma did.

And what I admire about Gentry is he didn't narrow schools from his top 30, to 28, to 23.5, to 17, to 17 in order, etc. he said "This is where I'm interested. I'll announce my commitment in May or June."

Just like when he supposedly blew off the tOSU spring game and everyone thought we lead for Gibson. Then it came out that OSU was still the team out front.

I remember a certain Tiger that was told he wasnt good enough for our system. That turned out great for us..

I think it's also reasonable to be hospitable toward Gibson and other top tier recruits even if you're afraid they may be using us. When top talents like Gibson continually perpetuate Tennessee it lends some positive perception of Tennessee nationally as well gaining them Twitter followers. We don't have to sign them all in order to benefit from being in the conversation. Name recognition and top tier talent association are good things. So look at it from the angle that even if he doesn't choose us we still benefit from having our hat sitting on the table. Sometimes they may even surprise you and actually pick up ours and put it on.

IMO those that do that are drama queens. IMO drama queens are not usually good team players ( remember DaRick?). I admire the way Gentry is handling the process and I like his maturity and decision making process.

We're in this more than people think. This kid loves UT. But I wouldn't even get the slightest bit excited until a fax rolls into the Anderson Training Center in February with his signature on the line..
