Could be, but I don't know how that makes it a better job. UT has better attendance numbers. Arkansas has floundered in a weak SEC West. I thought Anderson would work wonders, but not to this point. I think UT has more to offer overall.

Auburn will be better

Arkansas should be same to better
USC east better

And if UT makes a decent hire and don't lose Austin or Cofer, don't count them boys out!

Pitino, Miles and Tyndall have all said in some form they're not interested, but you know how that goes.

VQ says they doubt the money is there for Boyle or Marshall, so you probably an throw Shaka into that as well then.

If you believe all the above, then likely remove Cronin unless he's willing to take a massive pay cut. Speculation of his new real is that it exceeds $2.2m

What about coach at GW ? Mike Lonergan I think ? Seems to have similar path as Pearl with success at lower division and fairly young.

Brice from VQ just said on the radio he didn't think it was over just yet with Pitino Jr., and seemed to imply he was one of their top targets atm.

I'm pretty sure we read the same stuff on VQ, but not sure I agree that your interpretation is correct.

For those interested, Ron posted it verbatim in the Football Talk thread in the recruiting forum.

Where did Tyndall say he was not interested and Pitino?

I have seen two opinion pieces about Tyndall without any actual statement from Tyndall that he was not interested in job. Haven't seen anything from Pitino either only a statement from the Minn AD.....

As of April 4th, Cronin's salary looks to have been 1.55 million a year. It would seemingly take 2 million + to have him consider a move. Him seeing how Butch is doing could obviously help. Just not sure I would pay him north of 2 million per if I could hire White for half as much. I would guess White's buyout would also be much less.

It's just about all guessing at this point. If the actual names and info were getting out, then Hart of the other ADs are not doing their job.

There are posters stating without reservation that certain coaches have turned us down already and that is what I was questioning/pointing out.

Last statement I saw from Tyndall was that he was happy at Southern Miss and loved the AD and wanted to stay, but that if the right opportunity came along, he couldn't afford not to look at it.
