If that's how he feels, then he'll never coach at a bigger school. Our fanbase is tame compared to the biggest college basketball fanbases.

I just don't think Marshal even really considers it. He has a lifelong contract, plenty of money and the recruits he want. jmo

Funny that his only "reason" why Marshall wouldn't want to come is because he saw how the TN fanbase and administration "treated" Cuonzo and never embraced him. The difference is, Marshall is a proven winner that has the fanbase clamoring for him, not someone we all had to google and who had never experienced the postseason. There wouldn't be a lack of embracment.

Good chance they are putting out that number. as a sticker price, while really having 2.2 or so as the number it would take? I would guess that high number is a conversation starter.

Since when has Pastner's name been seriously thrown around as a candidate? The guy has under achieved at Memphis and is 100% anti-Tennessee. Which is a good thing because he is a panzy.

Memphis does not appreciate what Pastner has done here, kinda like cuonzo in Knoxville. One station here in memphis is saying there will be a "silent" offer to Pastner just to see if there is interest. Just passing on what is on the air here.

Most likely Hart would offer Marshall a base salary of around 2M and load it up with performance based incentives to bump it up to 2.5 M and annual increases as well.

Not a chance in hell that Marshall comes to UT. He's got a good thing going in Wichita and would be stupid to leave. UT will have to hire a B list guy because the A listers will turn UT down without a second thought. I hope and pray the next coach isn't a C or D list guy.

Give him a 5-6 year deal @ 2 mil with an option for 2.5 if he makes the elite 8 or better and 3 mil if he win a championship. He'd listen and probably come.

I remember when they hired Martin I was like who? Why did they hire him? Thought maybe we should have hired the guy from Butler if we were going to hire anyone at that time after he took his team to 2 Final Fours. .
