BREAKING: Cuonzo to Cal

All of you celebrating his departure can just keep telling yourselves about the "allsome" hire we're going to make, and then here in a few years you can claim the REAL problem is Dave Hart.

Slash and burn, Tennessee's method of getting back to the top.

Take you chances with another coach > keeping Cuonzo

You do realize he left Tennessee and not the other way around, right?

do you know that he didn't do that? That's a big thing to point out and needs to be accurate. I fully expect Martin met with his team before this news broke. If not. Screw him.

I would think he probably didn't, because I think Martin is in Berkeley now. So unless he did it very early this morning, late last night, he didn't, plus I don't think it would have stayed a secret.

why is it shocking?

people had a petition for his removal. A PETITION FOR HIS REMOVAL

Practice makes perfect :)....seriously he couldn't get over it...THE HELL WITH HIM...I think Stokes decision removed what gumption he had to make his brand at Tennessee... WE NEED AND DEMAND BETTER!!

Gonna be harsh here, but you got what you deserved. You signed a freakin' petition for his removal. He took your team to the Sweet 16, which is good for your program.

Gregg Marshall, or any great coach with a desire to stay employed more than 2 years, is not walking through that door.

Funny, I don't recall signing a petition.

Pulls a Kiffin and the players have to find out at a meeting and he is not even present. CLASSY. I think he wanted to leave the whole time, waited long enough so that Pearl was taken, got eliminated by Marquette once they heard him speak more than five sentences and learned he didn't really have a plan, let him "withdraw his name", then he bolted for the first school that would hire him late so it would make it that much harder for us to find a coach late in the game. Have fun in Hippie land. We will be OK, we will get a coach-- can't be any worse.

Jeez, I have no words for this. UT sports is the laughing stock of college sports right now.

Who the fn cares? We got a great football coach and baseball coach. Things are turning around. And now we have at least a chance to get a great basketball coach.

This is a thinking person. Right on the money.

I know it's been said, but this was a very smart move by Cuonzo. He definitely came out a winner in all of this. As for us, it remains to be seen.

UT is reporting this

well that'll be twisted into his feelings hurt, couldn't get a plane, wife hit on, rebel flags thrown on his lawn, and what ever other bull**** comes with it.

I tell you guys whats happened. A business decision was made by Martin and Hart and it was for fresh starts for both asap. I'm glad we get a new start now with a new coach because we were starting over anyway with the same old play good for 25 games of 75 and bore us to death the rest of the time. I'm glad we start now because he was going to be on the hot seat next year and the year after and gone. He knew it. Hart knew it. And they nipped it in the bud. 2 pretty smart men.
So now Hart, go get somebody that knows how to coach offense, use a pg, recruit a shooter every year or 3, and communicate with his team and those around the program and I don't care who it is.

CCM just proved what I have known all along... he was all about himself and his money and some of the players were the same way, that was what he recruited and that's why a lot of the time not everyone showed up to play a basketball game.

Let's see, two NIT appearances and one sweet sixteen in his three years with one of the best power forwards in the SEC. Tennessee can do better and will.

Per RL, Zo was in Cali yesterday and took K.O.'s commitment to Tennessee while negotiating with Cal.
