'15 NC RB Rocky Reid (Wake Forest commit)

Lol he's a teenager.. I'm not worried about wear and tear on his legs and u shouldn't be either.. Even with all those carries, he's still averaging over 7yds/carry.

That's what happens when u are the superior athlete on your team, u get the ball a lot.. And this guy has it all as a rb.. Gurley is a really good comparison IMO.

The coach would be run out of town if he was worrying about his touches. Studs get the ball, always have, always will.

Man I guess I had just watched his sophomore highlights... the one on the first page of the thread. Just saw the Jr. ones... and yeah this dude looks like a machine. I'm pretty pumped about this guy. Next year at RB we will have Hurd, the feature back... Scott, the burner, and Reid the bruiser. Mmmmm. The times they are a changing.

I don't get the "too much workload" argument. Just because he's getting lots of carries in high school doesn't mean he's more worn down than a guy that gets less carries. To me it means he's in absolute stellar shape for a guy his age to be able to handle that many carries, and he should be ready to play when he gets here next fall. If he stays healthy this guy is going to keep getting better every year for the next 6 or 7 years... not worse.

I LOVE this kids junior film. 16 minutes of him breaking tackles, guys whiffing left and right, and then he outruns the defense for TD after TD. I'm not worried about wear and tear because I'm not sure this guy gets tackled very often lol wow. And this is against top NC competition too, right? If so, I'm not sure why anyone is concerned with speed, he outruns just about every defense in his film.

I just hope we hang onto him because I see a bunch of big time offers in his future.

You don't think taking a lot of hits can wear down a high schooler. You're mistaken. Kids nowadays have weaker joints than the generations before due to bad nutrition. To me, it means he's the only horse in the backfield.

I really hope his knees, shoulders, and other parts are able to last 6 years. 900 carries in two years ( assuming he has more carries as a Sr. ) is INSANE!!!!!!

I can't help but question the sanity of any arm chair recruiters currently second guessing any recruits this staff considers a take. On paper, they've been hitting home runs all over the place. If you're not currently giving them the benefit of the doubt, then you are not a reasonable person.

I love the kids skill set. Reminds me of Emmitt Smith. There are legitimate reasons for concerned. Because you can't use your thinking cap doesn't mean others can't.

Link?

IMHO - athletes today know infinately more about nutrition compared to those of 30 years ago.

Moms of athletes don't. I'm talking about ages 1-18 and not college. Just walk around and you'll see processed foods everywhere. That kills the lethicine in your joints.

I'm on my phone, so getting links Is hard. People just don't cook as much nowadays. You can find that out quickly by dating.

This dude a man among boys. The only ones who need to worry about wear and tear are the sorry souls trying to tackle him.

I think he's a good solid prospect. Looks good on film, but honestly what HS RB doesn't who has a handful of BCS offers? Does he play in the highest classification in NC? I can see the kid possibly ending up as a 4* 5.8 type of kid. Did he camp anywhere last year...or been to any of the combines this spring?

So this is the sunshine pumping forum then??

No valid questioning is accepted here I guess. I wonder why we reelect people 90% in politics; most people are too stupid to question.

BTW, I try to balance positives to negatives.

Not trying to be argumentative, but I have college aged and above children who were raised with significantly better nutrition than I ate growing up. Biscuits made with lard, gravy, vegtables either fried or with ample amounts of butter added and fried meats were the staples of good southern meals along with sweat tea and always a dessert. Always had a box or 2 of Little Debbies laying around and all the white loaf bread you could eat.

With my children meals lost the biscuits & gravey and with the advent of the gas grill the fried meats pretty much went away. Whole grained breads and other healthier choices became readily available in the grocery stores. If folks have poor nutrition now its because they either don't care or they are really broke and can't afford it.

If my government was being run as successfully as UT's recruiting since CBJ arrived, I'd vote them all back in. My government stinks so question away. CBJ and staff have recruited like national champions so they get the benefit of the doubt.

My opinion, maybe I'm stupid?

You have the right to question everything. From watching his reel though, I sure don't question why he is a take and have a hard time seeing how someone would. Stars are for Hollywood sidewalks.

Did u see his junior film and not his sophomore.. It's plenty reason to get excited.

I respect you for teaching your children proper nutrition. You're absolutely correct, but there is a massive amount of people that just eat junk. It's way more than when you grew up. You should see the average diet in the ghetto.

I agree, and I'd also take Rocky. I'd just watch his durability that's all.

Stars are also for the American Flag. :)
