FWIW....
@JaysonSwain: How much weight does the staff put on the orange and white game?
My pre game QB depth chart:
1 Worley
2 Ferguson
3 Dobbs
4 Peterman
I don't understand why the coaches stuck Ferguson with the 2nd team O...
It's obvious that the coaches think that he's the biggest threat to overtake Worley for the QB job. You'd think the coaches would want him to get as many looks/reps with the 1s.
JMO.
Ok guys, listening to Ainge and he's lighting Riley up for his performance on Saturday. He's calling him a one trick pony, a QB who has a great arm but hasn't taken the time to immerse himself in understanding pass protection. Ainge is saying until he learns how to fully understand and call pass protections that he's like a gunslinger in a gunfight with a badass gun but no bullets. And that until he learns this that he can't play in the SEC.
Then he said something very interesting. He said he wonders if the coaches weren't trying to teach Riley a lesson in front of 68,000 fans on Saturday by throwing some blitzes at him which resulted in him giving up sacks and getting embarrassed. Ainge said that for the most part the first team D played vanilla base defense except versus Riley, and it showed, because he has no clue about pass protection which resulted in the 3 sacks he took. He finally said that IF Butch did this, he thinks it's a stroke of genius to teach Riley a lesson. I would have to agree.
They play 10X as many games, but the top contracts aren't worth 10X more than the top football contracts. It's not as ridiculous when you're looking at what you pay players per game they actually play. Except starting pitchers.
naw.you always just have some ***** on here that has to talk about everything but the subject the tgread is about.

I think both he and you are right but his job today is not LSU. I'm glad he's piling it on.
If tough love can get our basketball team to the sweet-16 maybe it can get our football team to 7 wins this year.
Ferguson is a RS FRESHMAN that has not seen the field yet. For Ainge to blast him like that in Knoxville is Bush.
I understand you think Riley needs hugs; some of us think he needs a kick in his butt. He needs to grow up and the only way that is possible is if he's challenged just as much if not more so than he's hugged.
