Recruiting Forum: Football Talk XI

Based on twitter, Mosley is one of the only signees that I dont see putting in work. He never talks about working out or slimming down or anything. I really hope hes hitting the gym regularly

Can't base workouts based off twitter. A lot of folks don't like taking workout selfies an thinks its dumb. He may not be working out as hard as others but I'm not expecting much from him anyways in year 1

I'm on the optimistic side now. I think the OL will struggle against elite teams and our defense will be very young and inexperienced overall, which will hold us back somewhat. But we will be much more athletic across the board. The fall team will be a lot better than the spring team, and the spring team looked pretty good.

I think making a bowl is a very reasonable expectation, and I wouldn't be surprised by 7 regular season wins (possibly 8, if we pull a big upset or catch some breaks in the games I think will be close/tight).

I'm salivating over what 2015 and beyond should be like...

This is how I feel as well.

I despise going to the gym and never tweet about it. Doesn't mean I don't go.

He might just be avoiding sounding like an arrogant ass too. It comes as no surprise to any of us that some one who constantly gives gym updates has that effect. Of course, I don't follow his twitter, so I don't know what he generally posts.

Just speculating.

Well, a lot of the kids do talk about it, so I get where POA is coming from. That being said I'm not sure him not tweeting about it is indicative of him not going.

The Sawyers signing was HUGE.

I think he is the most ready to come in and contribute.

I wont be shocked to see him in the rotation from the word Go.

Also if Salesbury can stay healthy that will be big.

That alone would sure up our rotation.

Just think of where this offense can be if we get Pig back. Scary. Even if we don't it will be miles ahead of last year.

I know we are getting way ahead of ourselves and need to enjoy the present. But seriously, can you imagine adding Preston Williams and maybe another dynamic WR to this group next year?

I think laying it out makes it easier to see. The defensive roster spring vs. fall.

Spring

DT: O'Brien, O. Williams, Mixon, Carson, Carr, Vickers
DE: Vereen, J. Williams, J. Johnson, Brown, Miller
LEO: Maggitt, King
MLB: A.J. Johnson, Bynum, Grieco
WLB: Reeves-Maybin, Creamer, Jumper
NB: Coleman, Payne
CB: Sutton, Moseley, Foreman, Jones
SS: McNeil, Orta
FS: Swafford, L. Johnson, Arnold

Fall

DT: O'Brien, Saulsberry, O. Williams, Mixon, Carr, Sawyers, Robertson, Mosley, Carson, Vickers
DE: Vereen, J. Williams, Hendrix, Barnett, J. Johnson, Brown, Miller, Henderson
LEO: Maggitt, Weatherd, King
MLB: A.J. Johnson, Bryant, Bynum, Grieco
WLB: Reeves-Maybin, Bates, Creamer, El. Berry, Jumper
NB: Coleman, Gaulden, Payne
CB: Sutton, Moseley, Ev. Berry, Foreman, Jones
SS: McNeil, Kelly, Orta
FS: Randolph, McDowell, Swafford, L. Johnson, Arnold

Bolded indicates players either injured for spring or yet to enroll. Some guys like Robertson and Evan Berry may start on offense, but as you can see the roster looks completely different.

Much has been made about Tennessee quarterback Joshua Dobbs' academic prowess, and his legend continues to grow. The freshman was inducted into UT's Phi Eta Sigma National Honor Society.
