'15 NM QB Zach Gentry

I would be fine with any of Nunez, Gentry, or Gibson.

I trust our coaches on making this decision. I wonder, if they had their choice, which one they would take. Since we have Jennings commitment, I would go out on a limb and say they would take Gentry. That gives them flexibility with a pro type (Gentry) and a dual threat (Jennings).

Back on Gentry though, I didn't get the warm and fuzzies from Hubbs this morning on 104.5 when he was talking about him. Didn't really say anything negative, just didn't sound positive. Maybe it was just me being paranoid?

He made it sounds like Texas may be the team to beat. At least that is how it sounded to me.

I really liked UTs chances until the tx offer came in. Hopefully CBJ can sell him on UT and being a Vol quickly so he does not even visit tx. He visits tx and IMO our chances to get him go way down.
I don't think so. TX always has a crop of QB's that wants to play for them. Don't see them needing to bring a guy in from outside the state.

Looking at 247 tx has offered 7 QBs, and 1 ATH who might play QB. Only 3 of the 8 are from tx. Ketchum who is the ATH completed a total of 50 passes last year and is from tx. Murray from tx is a&m bound IMO and Stidham is off the board. I could definitely see them pushing for Gentry.

It may come down to CCS offering him first at Louisville. That may be big thing for him. Kid seems to pretty level headed too. Would be a nice pull of the big orange though.

That's kind of my thinking as well. No clue what the coaches are thinking though.

They may also go with whatever they feel fits their system the best. For example, if they prefer dual threats, why not take two good ones, if possible?

This ^^^^

IMO if Vick had applied himself and put in the work, he would've been one of the greats. Just didn't have the work ethic because everything up to that point had came so easy to him.

VY was pretty electric as a running QB when he first got to the league. Also felt entitled and like he didn't have to work hard.

Sure, Qb's with no work ethic stay in the NFL over a decade and continue to get starts. Typical ignorant stereotying, all while you sit on your f****** couch. Laughable at best.
