I've seen articles that listed Dobbs in the 4.6 range.4.7 would be plenty fast to pull on the read option from time to time.

When I see Gentry, I'm thinking Brock Osweiller. Peyton Manning's backup and heir apparent when he retires. Would be a great fit for this offense. I think having Gentry and Jennings would give Bajakian the option to use one or the other at different times and different scenarios in games.

If we get behind a decent bit and we need to score quickly, then go with Gentry. When we have a lead and want to run off the clock, go with Jennings.

This is absurd. Whoever cannot see the elite arm, footwork and athleticism of Gentry need to move on to a different thread (on a different site) and cut the trolling.

The only concern for a guy his height is footwork and the length of his step into the throw. The later can be adjusted with the ball being snapped a little deeper or with a deeper drop so as to not step into his O-linemen. Gentry has pocket presence and escapes pressure well with good quickness.

Agree with vol4us on arm being elite.

Footwork needs work though. He throws off his back foot a lot in his highlights, but honestly that's probably cause his arm talent is so good he can get away with it.

I wouldn't call his athleticism "elite" but the combo of it and his size does definitely make it rare.

i just watched his highlights on hudl and heres what i saw and before you ask no i am not a coach or talent evaluator.
---Good---
-Accurate
-Big and Fast
-Mobile and great pocket presence
-at first glance has good mechanics from his 3 step drop
---Bad---
-Throwing mechanics(fixable) his highlight reel honestly reminds me of Blake Bells at OU. He while going through his throwing motion tends to drop his arm when following through on his throw.
-When he runs with the ball he likes to do the east west thing and get rough meaning hit people. not something i want to see my QB doing.
-He also i noticed sometimes in his basic 3 step drop doesnt plant his back foot before throwing, in the SEC thats a pick.

All in all hes a great talent and i hope he comes to UT but he does have some work to do when he gets to college before he can break any of peytons records lol.

There is no way to tell if his arm is ELITE...by watching some blurry highlight footage. Can't even see the football 90% of the time.

Well you can't see the ball because it's just too fast but if you look closely to some of his game vids you can see the laser from his rocket arm to mark the spot for the WRs to catch the ball.

If Gentry is high on the list of QBs being recruited by Tennessee, I have to assume he is elite overall. Otherwise, I question why CBJ would be focusing his energies with this athlete.

I wonder if the commitment by Jennings will have any affect on Gentry and his possible commitment to the Vols!
