My point wasnt about who did what. My point was to point out the 25/20 ratio is better than last years QB play.
Would you rather have 25 TDs and 20 INTs or have last years numbers (12/16)?
... no matter who it is
Wisconsin is getting away with murder against Kentucky. I hope Kentucky wins since the refs are shady in this one.
I was looking back at QB's in the SEC over recent history and some of the "best" average right about 1 INT per game over their careers. There are exceptions. Connor Shaw only threw 1 INT last year and that happened to be in our game. (Way to go Cam!). In his SO year, Bo Wallace had 22 TD and 17 INTs so those numbers you suggest wouldn't be shocking. Of course I'd take the 25/20 and throw my visor on the ground after each of the 20 INT's.
For what it's worth, I think I would expect improved numbers from Worley, Dobbs, and Peterman this year for a number of reasons. Many of us are optimistic about Riley but we won't know until we see him in a game or a few. I remember the accolades that Dobbs got from his second half against Bama.
If today's practice reports are any indication of what our QBs can expect in regards to pass protection we might ought to be choosing a signal caller based on physical toughness.I think that would be Peterman, right?
Thanks for understanding what I was trying to get across. As long as our QB situation is improved, Ill be happier.... but of course I want it to be way better. Any improvement is good though. I keep seeing people say we have a brutal schedule again... but when do we not have a brutal schedule? Most teams are losing their QBs. UF is coming off of a horrid season, new coaching staff and have a harder schedule than us. Vandy should take a huge step back. Ole Miss is easier than Auburn. I think the easier schedule will help our QBs put up better numbers.
I'm a Packer fan and I hated Favre....... He blew more big games than people want to admit.....
Honestly, I really think at this point (premature) if we go with Worley we're shooting to get to 6 wins and a bowl game. It may not work but that's what I think the thinking would be. If we go with Riley, I think we're trying to get to 8 wins. It may not work but that's what I think the thinking would be. There is arguably more reward potential with Riley.......and probably, at this point, more risk. jmo.
I think Worley wouldve won 6-7 last year (reg season) if he started every game and stayed healthy. From the reports, it seems as though he has improved since last year... and itll be an easier schedule (IMO) this year. Plus he has more weapons.

EDIT: I also think we see a lot more screens this year because of the Oline problems. Also think the TEs and RBs will stay back and block in a lot of situations.
I think his biggest edge now is confidence. He's a senior and while he may not have the skill sets of some of his competitors I think he's comfortable just doing his job within his abilities.
Butch has been harping on cutting down on mistakes and being able to make plays. I think the first could be directed at Riley while the latter cold be directed at Worley. The challenge this year is the QB is probably going to have to create. How many reports today had the phrase, "Every QB spent the day running for their lives."
He still won more SB than the team that traded him early in the year of which I am a fan. Main point I was trying to make was he is much different than Bray in a lot of ways outside the gunslinger mentality which make him have a chance to do better and improve on his game as well.
Ahhh yes.....take a game that he started and won out of the equation....he doesnt deserve credit for that win.....give me a break
