Dude anybody that judges a freshman in a coaches first year is crazy. How the hell is a freshman QB going to produce when the rest of the offense didn't have the system down either......

Just a quick update

I don't have anything concrete to pass along at this point, but as I'm sure it's hot topic today, just want to share the vibe that I've picked up between last/night this morning.

To no one's surprise, the pursuit of coach Martin from Marquette's side is absolutely real at this point, and from what I can gather from talking with several people is most feel like he is going to listen attentively, if he's not doing so already.

Have heard speculation from some people on the Tennessee side of things this morning that they feel it's a very real possibility that he leaves for the Marquette job. Very real. If that happens, I would guess that we'll know about it in 24-48 hours.

Let me stress that I haven't heard that anything is done at this point in time, not at all, but everything points to the chance of Zo leaving for Marquette as being very real at the moment.

We will definitely be trying to follow things.

If anything I was encouraged by Dobbs. He showed he is a very good runner (more elusive than he looks) and really didn't have many playmakers to throw to late in the season when we played some beatable teams. I will say this though, Bray immediately looked like the man his freshman year but he didn't really progress much afterward.

Yes on arm talent. Remember, he had experienced WR and TEs.

Kinda wish Zo wouldn't leave since that'll make Stokes' NBA decision real easy for him and I still want to see Stokes play football. That being said, can't really blame him for taking his ball and going home after some of the crap he took from people this season, including myself.

This is actually true. It's amazing the difference you see going from Central Gardens to Orange Mound, and the Mound's really not that far away, 6 or 7 blocks.

They patrol the borders to Central Gardens, Idlewild, Belmeade, etc., pretty heavily though.

Yes he had very good WRs and TEs. Big time guys that were in the same Chaney/pro style offense for two years. The youngsters were freaks(Da'Rick and Justin Hunter). And Denarious Moore was going crazy. People need to sit back for a sec and look at the surrounding talent that Dobbs had for a second. Plus everybody was going from a pro style to a true up tempo spread system. That's ridiculous to want a freshman to play better than the seniors on the team.

Ut fans got what they wanted.....maybe...and its complete bull$#!t...Ut is not a big time bball program, but nobody has any patience and ran off a good coach. I dont think Butch has a chance either, bc next year might not be good and then all those "true fans"/a$$holes will try and run him off also. So tired of some of these idiots.....

Yup it's kinda sad..and I'm obviously not speaking about everybody but we have one of, if not THE dumbest, fan base in all of college sports.

Probably so. One of my buddies is from Cookeville and he has good things to say about it, but so far my memories of Cookeville are, well...blurry. Spankies, man.

Memphis has a beautiful riverfront, but they can't take full advantage of it because downtown is such a craphole. Same is true of the Forum and the Redbirds stadium. Beale is a dump. Parts of midtown are great, though.

A couple years ago I visited New Orleans for the first time, and it was unbelievable how similar the two cities are. Biggest difference is that NO has a better sense of self and the city doesn't take itself nearly as seriously, which makes it a great party town.

Collierville is vibrant? LOL.

There is absolutely nothing in Collierville but sub divisions. Great place to raise a family, nice schools, but really nothing more than a sea of brown...

Germantown is definitely better than Collierville, but nowhere near as vibrant as Mid Town or Downtown Memphis
