'15 NM QB Zach Gentry

"On Friday Tennessee will welcome four-star New Mexico quarterback Zach Gentry is making his way across the country to see the Vols and Is expected to be in Knoxville from Friday evening until Monday morning.

We caught up with Gentry Thursday night and he called it a 'huge' visit for himself and he will be accompanied by his father on the trip. Tennessee, Oklahoma State and Alabama are all set to receive visits as of right now with Tennessee this weekend, Oklahoma State soon and he hopes to be at Alabama's spring game on April 19."

Friday till Monday is a huge visit! Great time for Butch to build relationships and show them how awesome Knoxville is. They will be blown away

This weekend is make or break for Gentry. Either he comes away saying we are heavy favorites or we will fade away once he returns home.

No, you should realize by now that big time players get big time offers. We're not recruiting a bunch of scrubs. Jones is gonna have to go against Texas and win this one. That's what happens when you're trying to win National Championships, you're in constant competition with other powers.

Idk about you, but I want the best players. Best players have the best offers. If we're gonna back down every time Ohio State and Auburn offers, then we're better off in the American Conference.

That's the truth. I think this is how our coach operates. In my opinion he's constantly been trying to get rid of the inferior complex of his players, this university and its fan base. We deserve to win in football, because this is an excellent school that stacks up with any other in the country in every facet of the game. We have no disadvantages. History doesn't matter anymore. Dooley and (late) Fulmer got outworked constantly by other coaches. They didn't lose recruiting battles because Tennessee wasn't a good enough place.

That is not the case under Butch Jones. We are capable of reeling in the players that we want under his leadership. But that does mean going up against schools like Texas who have a clear location advantage in some situations. But I'm telling you. Butch Jones does not give a damn, and neither do I. Bring em on.

DID YA HEAR THAT?? I'M NOT AFRAID ANYMORE!

Bama also has a ton of QBs on campus now. I like this kids game alot.

The only QB he would have to really worry about is Cornwell. He has the talent to beat out any of the other guys easily. I could see him playing early at either school.

bateman?

coker?

cornwell?

You have to remember at bama if a kid is not All SEC by the end of their FR year, they are a bust and need to be processed out of the program for the next group of 4-5* talent coming in.

A few on this board think UT should think like that as well. I'm glad it's not played out that way yet.

I said Cornwell. Coker would be a SR. Bateman still has a ways to go based on reports.

I bet Nicky hides Bateman when Gentry visits...the pervading question would be "why does he have a ways to go?...HE'S BEEN HERE SINCE THE REAGAN ADMINISTRATION!!!"

wish this kid was more active on twitter so we could hear updates during the visit without having to wait til it is over and get a recap.
