TN HB-1547 on 'student religious freedom'

I agree organized religion has caused a tremendous amount of harm but has also done a tremendous amount of good. Why focus on one but not the other?

Millions of dead throughout the worlds history disagree with any notion that canned food drives, meals on wheels and christmas caroling are a "tremendous amount of good."

Aren't you the guy who claims to be a scientist(and also a guy who runs off planes because he sees Arabic people on them)?

I'm curious as to how you were taught planets are created. Please, teach us.

He also claims to be in the medical field, yet thinks vaccines can cause autism

You amuse me with your pseudo intellectual babble.

And I see there is no answer to the question I posed.

So if your kids are so advanced in logical deduction and intellectual theory, what's the harm in going to church to expand their horizons? Maybe a lot of different churches? Get the whole shebang going so they can make an educated and logical choice.

You don't even know what you're saying.

I know you are fos by saying you know for a fact that we came from some type of primate. The truth is no you do not know..... if you know for a fact where is the missing link?

You think global warming is real and we are all going to die from it.

So.......

It's no coincidence that the same people that deny evolution are also the ones denying global warming, ozone depletion, vaccines, acid rain, big bang, HIV/AIDS, etc.

The point was that they are not yet capable.

This isn't a hard concept, that it's whizzing over your head is both amusing and sad.

While we've been having such wonderful conversations about theology, evolution, grading, and public schools, what about the proposed law's constitutionality? This seems like the base practical matter, from which all the other concerns should then spring. I just don't see how it's constitutional. I'm not talking about students discussing their faith in class or in assignments; I'm talking about students being authorized to usurp announcements, school functions (that are not voluntary), etc. and turn them into some sort of camp revivals. Regardless of whether or not it's non-denominational or interfaith, I still don't see how this is legal.

How can someone be taught anything remotely associated with science when you cannot grasp the simple fact that there are no absolutes?

So you think we really know how all planets were made? No offense but that is beyond stupid. I learned how planets were formed probably the same way you did. That doesn't mean it applies to all planets. Also just because we learn something in school doesn't mean it's an absolute truth. Since no human was alive when the planets were made, it's all a best guess as to how they were formed.

It's not whizzing over anything. I find it completely hilarious that you think your children aren't old enough to grasp the concept of religion, yet feel they would be asked not to come back because of the sophisticated questions they would be asking. And furthermore, you feel it's wrong for children to not be able to think for themselves, yet don't want to expose them to religion because they cannot comprehend it.

You're like a train wreck with your inconsistencies. It's pitiful, yet so amusing.
