Dobbs and Malone shine at NFL Combine

Quarterback Josh Dobbs recorded the second-fastest 40 time on Saturday morning at the NFL Scouting Combine in Indianapolis, just ahead of Clemson’s Deshaun Watson. Dobbs officially measured 6-foot-3, 216 pounds, and threw the ball particularly well, according to reports

Dobbs is the 10th-best quarterback in the draft according to NFLDraftScout, and is a projected 7th round pick.

Meanwhile, former Vol wide receiver Josh Malone helped his draft stock on Saturday by showing off his speed in Indianapolis. Malone recorded a blazing-fast 4.41 40-yard dash, which was the third-fastest time among wide receivers.

Malone is a projected 5th round pick by NFLDraftScout.

Derek Barnett did not participate in Sunday’s drills due to a virus, according to reports from NFL analyst Adam Schefter. It’s possible, however, that he could participate in Sunday’s workouts.

  1. Not sure who was the announcer. I think it was Charles Davis(?). But about 3-4 DL run 40s and he starts talking about spanking Miami and Michael Irvin in the 86 Sugar Bowl 35-7. LOL
