As many expected, on Thursday afternoon at the Vols’ media day, Tennessee head coach Butch Jones named Justin Worley as his starting quarterback.
“In terms of the quarterback, Justin Worley will be our starting quarterback,” Jones said. “He has earned the right to the be starting quarterback. I believe Justin is playing the best football he’s played in a long time.”
Nathan Peterman and Josh Dobbs are expected to battle for second string. “I expect that position to continue to battle and continue to compete,” Jones said. “We have great athletes in Peterman and Dobbs.”
