Just wanted to stop by and say my crew and I had a great time in Knoxville last week. A win would've been terrific, but the atmosphere in the stadium, at the tailgate (we scored a G5/30 parking pass) and around campus was great. We got to check out Thompson-Bolling on Friday (the last rows of the upper level seem like they may as well be on the moon!) I was shocked at how large the place was.
We spent Friday evening in the Market Square area, mainly at Preservation Pub on the rooftop. We were supposed to be doing an abbreviated bar crawl through the area, but that spot was too perfect with how great the weather was and their happy hour pricing until 8pm ($2 domestic bottles and $3 craft on tap!). We hit Calhoun's post game and the BBQ pulled pork definitely lived up to the hype.
Finally, we experienced good people all around down there and are quite pleased we selected Knoxville as our college game destination this year. Good luck in the future and Go Vols!
