Don't get me started. I have a couple of reasons.

I was homeless in Ft Liquordale and Hollywood Beach back in the 50s, before being homeless was so popular.

Being from East Tennessee, scenery is mountains, not a straight line (the view from a beach). The highest elevation is 640 feet - and that's just a big sand dune.

I hate sand, especially trying to sleep on it.

Florida is a sandbar with a swamp in the middle.
