VOLS WELCOME ETSU FOR FIRST TIME EVER

• FIRST MEETING WITH BUCS: Saturday’s matchup with ETSU will be the first-ever between the Tennessee neigh- bors. Located in Johnson City - just a little over 100 miles East of Knoxville, ETSU is in its fourth season of football since the program was revived in 2015 after a 12-year hiatus.

• RANDY SANDERS RETURNS: Tennessee head coach Jer- emy Pruitt will face another first-year head coach in Ten- nessee alum and longtime Vols’ assistant Randy Sanders, who was the offensive coordinator when UT won the first BCS National Championship in 1998. He teamed with Pruitt and Vols safeties coach/special teams coordinator Charles Kelly at Florida State to win the final BCS Nation- al Championship in 2013.

• FULMER HELPED BRING BACK ETSU FOOTBALL: Tennes- see Director of Athletics Phillip Fulmer was instrumental in bringing football back to ETSU in 2015 after the program disbanded in 2003. Fulmer prominently involved in the coaching search and fundraising for the program’s return.

VOLS AT NEYLAND STADIUM, VERSUS FCS

• Tennessee holds an all-time record of 463-128-17 (.775) at Neyland Stadium. That’s the second-most wins of any school at a current stadium behind only Georgia Tech’s 470 wins at Bobby Dodd Stadium.

• Tennessee has won 22 of its past 23 home openers with its only loss in the span coming to #19 Oklahoma in 2015. • The Vols are 67-6-2 against current members of the FCS.

• Tennessee is 47-4-2 against current members of the SoCon, most recently earning a 55-10 win over Western Carolina on Sept. 19, 2015.

About ETSU

East Tennessee State University is located in Johnson City, just a little over 100 miles east of Knoxville. The Bucs are in their fourth season of college after reviving the program in 2015 following a 12-year hiatus after disbanding the program in 2003 for financial reasons.

Tennessee Director of Athletics Phillip Fulmer played an instrumental role in bringing football back to ETSU. While serving as a consultant for the university, he was prominently involved in the coaching search as well as fundraising for the program's eventual return.

The Buccaneers are led by former UT player and assistant coach Randy Sanders and are coming off a 28-7 win over Mars Hill last Saturday night in Sanders' debut. ETSU returned six of its top eight tacklers from last year's team that finished 4-7 and is led by Temple transfer Logan Marchi at quarterback. Marchi threw for 273 yards and three touchdowns in last week's victory.

Legend of the Game

Tennessee will honor the late Reggie White as its Legend of the Game on Saturday afternoon. His widow, Sara White will be accompanied by VFLs Phil Stewart and Bruce Wilkerson during a pregame presentation to honor the former UT All-American and Pro Football Hall of Famer.

It's odd they hate UT so much when they have a Vol coaching and Fulmer helped to resurrect their program.

Either way, I bet they really hate us after today.

Have to help lead a conference for work this morning then headed down to Knoxville. They schedule this conference every single year on our first home game!

This has been stated multiple times in this thread; the majority of people who earned their degree from ETSU prefer Tennessee football. I grew up loving Tennessee football, but happened to graduate from ETSU. Not sure where you're hearing of all the hate
