The lies of Tv shows and Movies

Silence of the Lambs lie Buffalo Bill a cold blooded killer Real life an American folk hero

I highly doubt it because he has traits that are the same as the infamous Serial killer Ted Bundy, and he was inspired by multiple infamous murderers.

Also Blue Bloods Danny did use illegal actions including using a deadly weapon a blowtorch to obtain information from a man which was done in front of persons that aren't cops.

With multiple witnesses it's astronomical he could persuade others he didn't obtain information illegally with coercion, and wasn't guilty of conspiracy to assault with a deadly weapon which he outright said in front of multiple witnesses while holding the deadly weapon.

A Lie
Movie: The Condemned
1 of the dumbest most bullcrap lines in a movie said by the Ian Breckell says nothing is real ABC MTV all manufactured and manipulated just like this.

He is talking about the violence with Prisoners in the real world on a Island that are killing each other shown on the Internet saying it's the same as what is shown on MTV and ABC which uses fake staged violence in fictional tv shows.

Truth

ABC and MTV is fake staged violence in tv shows a safezone or a controlled enviorment which is why persons in real life aren't killed or harmed which is a different thing than Violence in the real world is different because it's not a controlled environment where persons suffer and can die from real violence when it's used on persons.

SIAP - but have you ever noticed how "noisy" firearms are in movies and tv when characters handle them? (not shoot them)

Just picking up a rifle or bringing up a pistol to aim produces all sorts of metallic clicks and clacks. Guns don't make much noise in RL until you want them to!

Factual Error
Movie The Phantasm
Mike is able to escape a room by attaching a shotgun shell to a hammer that when he hits the door blows a hole in the door, and he is able to escape the room.

Unlike MacGyver this is not science truth.

Truth
In a shotgun blast the explosive force is channeled along the gun barrel.
Without a barrel to channel the force it would send the buckshot in all directions so it be highly likely to kill him, and would be hard to blow a hole on a door because of the buckshot going in all directions.

Man I can't believe a movie based in reality like Phantasm would make such a mistake!

The term suspension of disbelief or willing suspension of disbelief has been defined as a willingness to suspend one's critical faculties and believe something surreal; sacrifice of realism and logic for the sake of enjoyment.

Man I can't believe a movie based in reality like Phantasm would make such a mistake!

Sarcasm or ironic because those movies aren't set in the real world.

Factual Error
Movie Justice League
Batman "I'm not the one who brought a pitchfork."

It's not a Pitchfork it's a Quindent.

Does the writer hate Batman because that serious line makes the World's Greatest Detective look like a Moron.

Factual Error
Movie: An American Werewolf in Paris

Andy moves upward traveling a fast speed after bunge jumping from the Eifle Tower hits a metal girder which has the result a mild concussion because plot armor.

Truth
He would have been killed because of hitting a metal girder with his head traveling a fast speed.

Factual Error; Batman and werewolves aren't real.

Factual Error; Debbie Does Dallas

It was mostly Debbie just pimping out her friends and she never made it to Dallas. Fun fact, the star of Debbie Does Dalls tried out for the Cowboys cheerleaders in real life but was sadly cut.

Didn’t read the thread, but hopefully someone mentioned Braveheart.

I haven't seen it mentioned.

I'm guessing it has historical inaccuracies.

Lie in the Movie; Christmas Rush
A Chicago Police patrol car has 4 Chicago cops 2 in the front, and 2 back.

Truth
Major Police Departments for Patrol Cars including Chicago Police the most Cops a Patrol car has is 2 Cops both in the front.
Cops won't ride in the back of a Patrol Car because that is where suspects, persons of interest, and Criminals are put.

Lie shown in Movie Hannibal
For some unknown nonsensical reason Hannibal Lector a escaped Criminal was removed from the FBI's most wanted list and was put back on the FBI's most wanted list.

Truth
The 2 ways a person is removed from the FBI's most wanted list is if that person dies, or is caught.

Body of Lies, Leonardo DiCaprio was drinking coffee out of a coffee mug in in the kitchen, he followed a guy into the living room and was drinking out of a different mug.

In real life people don't switch cups when they go into a different room.

Movie: Tomb Raider The Cradle Of Life
A Shark swims fast to Laura because she is bleeding which does attract Sharks.
Laura Croft easily punches a shark's face with the result the shark swims away from her, and Laura grabs the fin since she doesn't have to do most swimming to get above water.

In real life humans can't easily punch a Shark's face swimming fast toward a human to prevent a shark attack, also could easily backfire with the shark easily eating the arm of the human, and since sharks can move faster than humans in water the odds greatly favor the shark.

Movie: Die Another Day
The way persons physical looks are altered in this awful movie including Zao a North Korean Man altered to a white man for physical looks with bone marrow of the patient is killed wipe the DNA Slate clean, and DNA harvested from healthy donors is transferred into the patient.

This is all total bullcrap because the patient or person would die if the bone marrow is killed, and transferring DNA from a healthy donor would not physically alter a person's physical appearance and wouldn't change his or her race.
This makes the science in the Action Movie Face Off look medically plausible by comparison which is saying a damn lot.

In the Real World plastic surgery can be used to alter the physical looks of humans which persons have used.
Since a person would die if their bone marrow was killed they won't consent to having a doctor or some other person kill their bone marrow because it has no damn benefits it's like removing your heart yes it's that damn asinine.
